I was a student here, and honestly i loved it. I currently Attend U Of I in champaign on a full ride. The teachers really care about their students. I was scared to attend, but honestly I'm so happy I did! Without the teachers here I ould not be at the university I am with the scholarships I have!

The principal here at this school does not care for the students. His only goal is to cut experienced teachers and programs that would actually benefit the school. He has fired all of the off duty cops that carry in favor of hiring security guards that don't do their jobs effectively half the time. This school is headed for disaster by an inept principal that has no clue or does not care about the student population. In today's times there are shootings in schools everywhere. Why would someone disregard public safety issues over budget? He is only concerned with how the school looks to the community. Putting up new signs and trying to purchase new stadium seating in auditorium while teachers have not enough books for all of the students and copy machines are broken down most of the time. He is driving this once good school in to the ground! I will not send my son to this school.

I was honestly really scared of coming here. There were rumors that this school was "ghetto" and there was drug every where. This is my fifth week of high school and I've found really great friends. Some of my friends also though that this school was "ghetto", but actually, this school is great!! All those rumors aren't true. Yes, their are some students that don't act the way they're suppose to, but aren't their students like that everywhere? Don't worry. This school is great!! (Straight A student here :))

I am a parent, who used to go to Kennedy High School. Now, my son goes here. He is a senior. Hes been doin awesome. He has straight A's thanks to the hard work he puts in. On the way to Illini in the fall! It is up to the student to succeed. If your child is motivated enough to learn, he/she will do great.

my daughter arrived 2 years ago from Boston where she was attending a private school. We were afraid the classes would not meet her expectations but she is very happy with the atmosphere and her teachers.
