Kellman Staff and teacher are awesome. What people fail to realize is that parents are teachers FIRST and then the teacher are there to aid us. The school is a great place to send your kids.. a family atmosphere. Can't wait to bring my 3 year old into the program!!! It takes a village.

As a parent you send your child to school to get a good education, And also you expect for the school to keep you inform of changes . The principal changes her mind like every other day regarding policies and procedures. The school lacks extra curricular activities. And the homework is repetitive. My child graduated 8th grade I will see just how prepared my daughter was come fall. I understand teaching starts at home but I feel the school should pick up wehere I left off. Please be prepare to view future post to come especially not they school is in the process of a merger. They say it's not a merger but trust me that's what it is. I am sure some of the students from the Bethome will be attending as well. I hope they got the stuff together and by the way the spanish teacher is terrible they need to reconsider bring her back seriously. By the way Ms. Freeney is wonderful she should be the principal and Ms. Browder should be the assistant.

As a student of kellman I can proudly say I love the way my teachers teach me. First my teachers explain the work out of our books and then they begin break it down to people who are having trouble understanding the work. One of our rules in my math class is nobody does work until everybody understands the work. I can truly say that my teachers make sure that NO CHILD IS LEFT BEHIND!!!

As a student of kellman school I could say that kellman has change but the teachers stay the same with the love of each teacher and the support the student can get some were i have also learned that if you are a great student its because of the hardwork and effort the teachers and parents have put to helping the student.

Kellman is one of the most under rated schools in Chicago. The school provides a very high quality education to their students despite lack of participation from some parents. Students who attend this school get the benefits of a private school atmosphere in a public school setting. Good behavior is pushed by all staff members, and students who leave Kellman school go the top high schools in Chicago. Kellman is a safe haven in the impoverished North Lawndale area.
