My experience was great. We were not a wealthy family, there were 7 kids in our family. My father didn't work during winter so we were poor, but were taught respect and responsibility.

This is the worse school ever no respect at all and the staff is not professional at all Out of the whole school I would say only three staff are when you need someone from the office to do something they do it on there time when they can after there done doing nothing!!! If your kids have problems they don't care and if your kids get picked on for being a different race that is your problem as well they just go there to get a check IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR KIDS DONT TAKE THEM TO THIS SCHOOL !!!!

I have had the pleasure of being an involved parent with Henderson School for approximately 4 years now. I actually followed the current Principal from a school where she SERVED as the Asst. Principal. I capitalized the word "served" because I believe you can only effectively lead after you've served. I have two sons that attend that school and one who've graduated already. This school serves as a beckon of hope for children and families who've been counted out or disproportionately been affected by a political system (our government) who seek to dismantle the public education and privatize it. The Principal and Asst. Principal (as well as teachers) spend countless hours prepping assignments, talking with parents and making themselves available beyond what's required. I appreciate the "Henderson Family." This body of educators and nurturers are why are drive over 7 miles each day (passing several other schools) with my two sons to one of the top schools within the CPS system (in my opinion). As a mother I factor in more than just scores, there is more to me releasing my two angels to a body of educators.

No stars out of 5!!!! I hate this school there teachers are in it for a pay check... And they have no books to learn from... They blame the students for everything. The head of the school is a B***H with no patience. Do not I repeat DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO HERDERSON. They will fail your children and they will have no chance in life.
