OVER CROWDED BEYOUND BELIEF!!! This is probably one of the worst schools in CPS. There are some great teachers there but there are a lot who really don't seem to care. I wish there was another school in the area to send my kids to. I actually feel guilty sending them here. The principal only sees $$ not kids and their futures. Good luck if you are considering going here.

Admittedly, I'm biased as I work at Edwards. Still, I have taught and worked at several different schools, in different states, and the level of teacher quality, parental support, our amazing students, and the overall caring culture of this school is excellent. I consider myself extremely lucky to work at this school and would send my child here (several of our teachers do already).

Great school, with great extra curricular activities! Teachers are awesome and very personal to ones need. Willing to go above and beyond for our children. If I had another chance in life. I will send them Edwards all over again!

I lived on Keeler and went to Edwards during the 1940s. It was then a fine school, had a tremendous library and superb art class. I'm saddend to hear that the school has problems. Things are supposed to get better over time.

What ever people tell you is wrong . Its a great school and it has great teachers. The bad story's that people have told you about this school are not true. Im a student in this school and i like coming to this school. It has programs to help students and it is strict. You have to try hard and be good to get good grades i would give it a rating 9 over 10

The test scores speak for themselves. This is by no means a magnet school. Teachers are recycled through the system. There is no sense of community; if you go there 3 years from now, you will not see the same teacher.

The teachers are good, but there is no official discipline. The LSC meetings are closed meetings and they happen at times when most parents and community members are working. I want ALL the LSC meetings to be in the evenings. The leadership is very one-sided and not effective.

This is onr of the worst schools in the archer Hights area next to Curie H.S. Just as any other public school it is plagued by over crowding, budget cuts, and a degenerate student population. There are some verygood teachers but most of them are mediocer. Please avoid this school at all costs, especially that the neighborhood has been overrun.
