I truly do not understand this grade. My son went here last year for Kindergarten and will continue in August for 1st grade. My son is in IEP as he is the only child and does better one on one as he relates better with adults. He never had to step foot in daycare and only had 8 months of preschool due to Covid. He is a very sweet shy kid and Dildine turned him around in one school year to where he is not as shy anymore. He learned so much last year. The IEP staff helped him understand his school so good. His teacher and the grandma in the class were amazing! The principal is awesome as he knows every student and makes a point to meet every parent or guardian. All of the staff makes a point to try to know each student as well as I was shock when I met a couple of the 3rd and 4th grade teachers who knew my kindergarten. This is because the teachers rotate on monitoring the kids at lunch and recess. The staff truly cares about these kids and their education. They also keep the parents involved in their child’s progress so we’re not left in the dark. Like I said my son is my only child so I’m a bit overbearing helicopter mom and the staff at Dildine told me that they love that I’m like that because they love to see parents caring and being involved in their child’s education. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better school and this grade score of a 2/10 is a joke! Like I said my son has excelled in just one school year and I’m excited to see how much more he excels in 1st grade at Dildine!

I have 2 boys that have gone to the school and my third one is about to start in the fall. Every teacher we have had has been amazing. My boys have excelled academically, and I have never felt like they've been held back. They're always challenged in their classrooms. In the field I work in, I deal with a lot of parents and they have children that go to different schools in town and I hear stories from them about things that they have to deal with with their children, and it makes me continuously thankful that my boys go to Dildine.

The only part worse than the bullying and teachers that don't care was the principal. While we live just blocks from this school, we have opted to drive our child to another school. I had the worst time working with the teachers and principal (and even the mean secretary). We are very involved parents, but were often left out of the loop. We were unable to find out what homework was due and when it was due. Even after several emails and notes sent to the teacher, we never heard back. Pitiful.

I have 3 children who attended Dildine over a period of 11 consecutive years, so we experienced 3 wonderful administrators, and outstanding teachers along the way. My concerns were always addressed and my children received an excellent education. When my oldest graduated from East High in 2013, there were 12 students who graduated with 4.0 GPA's; 9 of them were "graduates" of Dildine.

We have a girl going into 2nd grade this year. We have been very happy with the schools administrators, teachers and staff. The best part is she is learning at an accelerated level for her age and doing extraordinary. The success of our child is the best litmus test for a school, and we are thrilled.

K through 3rd, same issues. The teachers have been good to great, the administration and their attitudes and conduct have been average to very poor. This school seems to have an over inflated sence of value and accomplishment. If you have a "model" student who scores high on the never ending standardized tests, you will be pleased untill you realize your child has not actually learned much. If you have a student that does not fit the mould perfectly and consistently, you and your child may be blamed. You may be asked to "fix" this non compliance with medication. Critical thinking, parental and pediatrician's concerns and recommendations are ignored and dismissed by this school's almighty adminestration.

I cannot rave enough about Dildine. The teachers are caring and really teach the child what they will need to succeed. I believe they concentrate on reading, math and science more than other elementary schools in the area. Mr. Wortman the principle is WONDERFUL!!! He not only visits with the parents when you walk in, but he stops and visits with the kids. I have even recommended to friends that they if they are looking to buy a house try to find one in this school district. They are one of the largest (if not the largest) elementary schools in the state, but your child still receives a TOP NOTCH education!!!
