I've gone to this school and I say take your child to ANY other school in the area. It's awful and I hate the way everyone is treated. The administration is awful. The officials don't care about the students feeling to the extent that it causes problems. They seem to not care about how the students may be feeling and their mental health.

As mentioned before, there is far too much emphasis on athletics. If you're not athletic or don't have the right last name, you're either invisible or a target. So many students are malicious towards others. I graduated and I'm so glad. It got to the point where myself and several of my friends were bullied to the point of attempting suicide. There is little to no repercussions for those who are bullying. It's ridiculous.

If you have an all-star athlete this school is for you. If you want your child to learn, it isn't. They need to stop hiring coaches and using them as teachers. The students suffer in these classes. The emphasis should be on education first and instead it is on the sports. Teachers do not reflect on their own teaching. If their way of teaching isn't working and the whole class does poorly, they do not adjust their teaching. So not only do the students go away with a bad grade but they also never learn what it is they should have. This school does not care about the future of each and every student. There are no high expectations of students. Students are not being prepared for life outside of high school. Other area high schools do a much better job in this area. On the whole, the teachers are much more concerned with their own friendships and activities than that of the students.

When I decided to rate this school I found out that not much has changed over six years. Many of my views seem to be the same as another parent from six years ago. The emphasis on sports is way too great here. There are many students that are talented in other areas but they do not explore these other areas because of the emphasis on sports. The moral and ethical values of administration, teachers, and coaches is lacking. Therefore, respect all around is lacking. Teachers and administration do not work well with parents. They prefer to keep parents at a distance and want them to mind their own business. Students will already be sinking past help before a parent knows about it. There are a few rays of hope in this school. There is an incredible algebra teacher who would do anything to help a student. Also a science teacher and English teacher that are the same way. It is too bad the majority aren't in it for the right reasons. If a clean school matters to you, then it is clean.
