Chazy Elementary is behind the times and needs to modernize. Communication from the teacher is dismal at best. My child's teacher seems to spend a lot more time on "ELA" than other subjects. There are just about the same number of grades in the grade book for science for the year as there is for "ELA" for one quarter.

As a parent of both an elementary student and a HS student as well as a child who has graduated from Chazy, I can say that there are many issues with this school. The big push is academics, which is great but not everything. I think having well rounded students is vital! The technology available in the HS is not utilized well, and the communication is poor with parents. Was hopeful with new principal but not much has changed except for the proud Chazy traditions being pretty much thrown out the window. Dress code is not enforced and what is acceptable is appauling, and kids walk ALL OVER with their cell phones at all times. The elementary end, I have to say, is fantastic and it is a shame that moving up to the high school end it is so different. Drugs are a big issue at Chazy as well and not under control by any means.
