Glenwood Intermediate Schools is "okay". After living in five different states, I'm disappointed in Illinois' standards and lack of funding despite SKY HIGH property taxes. I don't understand the "registration fee" required for every student for 12 years in this state, and I can confirm other reviews that students (and parents) are extremely clique-oriented and students are very entitled. This is a very spoiled area.

GIS is a good school to send your child to. This is my daughters first year there and she is doing very well. They go to great extremes to assist any child that is having difficultly in a class to ensure that they improve. They offer them extra study halls to allow them time to work on their assignments as well as monitoring their grade to ensure that they are passing. I especially like the fact that they not only call when your child gets in trouble but they also call when they are doing well. Not to mention the fact that they call several times, they email you, and send a letter home. The one thing that I don't like is that they will allow a child to call their parents for anything. And I do anything! However, I do love this school and so does my daughter.
