The google reviews they have some way of removing them all of them say 7 years ago. Parents if you are considering sending your black child here you should be mindful. The Vice Principal is very biased and could use some diversity awareness training … and dialogue training. She is very much aloof when interacting with African American parents versus Caucasian parents. My child did not have a teacher assigned on the first day of school and placed on the wrong bus route after going to the school in person to rectify the situation just for her to be very dismissive … no apology from the school or anything. And the principal will side with her behavior so no point isn’t talking to him and Administration thinks they are great so don’t even bother. I also had to play middle man to palisades and transportation because the school is saying they are being told not to contact transportation but transportation is saying they need to hear from the school for a bus pass. So I had to talk to both parties all week just ensure my child is placed on the right bus and was given more than one bus number. Parent teacher conference parents signs up for conference ..both parents are on teams 15 min early. No response from teacher. Parent contacts teacher about conference teacher has still yet to respond. The bus was late almost an hour there was no notification to the parents of a change in bus number and on the app the bus is on the middle of nowhere not moving and transportation and the school does not answer the phone. CMS do better … if you are considering this school for a lottery do not consider i am telling you … only pleasant people are in the front office … and the male 4th grade teacher.

Ms. Bradshaw, Ms. Denton and Ms Todd were all amazing instructors. I have been very pleased with my son's education thus far. Ms. Todd was even willing to provide extra work to support my gifted child so that he doesn't get bored. I do not believe that the teacher is solely responsible for teaching my child. We work with him daily at home and with the help of PPES, he is excelling. Thank you for investing in our children. I do think parental involvement could improve as it truly takes a village to create well rounded children.

My son started here last year for kindergarten, and it’s been an amazing experience. He’s continued to excel and ask questions in his academic career. The teachers, Mrs. Woerner and Mrs. Gathers, did an exceptional job making sure my son was learning and retaining the information taught. I’m looking forward to the next school year here.

They did not promote parental interaction. In many ways, they greatly discouraged it. We stayed only 1 year.

We have not had one issue with this school - we love the sense of community, the “paws”itivity, the focus on sciences, projects, and engineering, and the fact that I’ve never seen a teacher or faculty member look unhappy. We absolutely love this school, the parents, and the students.

Overall we have been satisfied we the school. We would choose PPES again. I would like to see more activities for the students (dances, talent shows, class room parties) vs events that raise money only.

Mine and my child's experience at Palisades has been good in some ways and in other ways, this school can improve. The funny thing is, my worst experiences here have been with the front office staff. From first enrolling my child to every time I have to visit the school, the staff has a very elitist and condescending attitude about EVERYTHING. They are very negative and are happy to tell you what is NOT allowed or what they CAN'T do for you rather than what they can do to help. You would think this school was top in the country the way they try to keep kids out. Other than the office staff, teachers need to be held accountable for what they say to their students and how they say it. I have heard of multiple instances where the kids are berated or embarrased in front of the class (by the teacher revealing their grades or test scores) because the teacher is frustrated. Not acceptable. Otherwise, my child's test scores have been excellent as well as him maintaining great grades, which speaks to Palisades apparent ability to cater curriculum to each student's learning style/current abilities.

I love this school, it's just one thing I dislike. I dislike the fact that the school is always asking for money. I have three students here and they are constantly asking for money for everything, other than that it's a great school!

Love the IB curriculum, uniforms, and inclusive community. Every year my son has had teachers who have gone the extra mile to figure out how to help him reach his potential. Can't wait for my daughter to start here in the fall.

We started about half way through the school year. Our prior school was a high quality private school. I must say that I am thoroughly pleased with the staff and the quality of the programs. The uniform policy in a public school setting is a win-win. They are active in STEM and provide many enrichment activities. I am pleasantly delighted that we were able to find a public school that rivals the private education we were accustomed to. Keep it up Palisades Park!
