    I attended this school for a few years and it seems to be mediocre. Sad that it is this way.

    Charlevoix High School is extremely. I graduated at the top of my class, and I actively participated in sports, clubs, journalism and student government; however, even four years after graduating from CHS, I still feel the effects from the weak foundation and lack of opportunity the Charlevoix Public Schools systems provides its students. Students are not pushed to go above and beyond what is expected, and it almost discouraged to do so. If you aspire to go to a top out-of-state university, CHS will show very little support and provide no guidance. There are some exceptionally nice and caring teachers, but, unfortunately, their benevolence can't make up for the mediocre level of teaching.
