My son wanted to attend this school despite that we do not follow Catholicism. He now regrets it. Despite being heterosexual, caucasian, and neurotypical, he was excluded and bullied for no reason other than the boys knew they could et away with it. They knew he wouldn't say anything against them because he didn't have any friends to support him and he is a kind, empathetic person. They mocked him for how he conducted himself, performed certain activities at school, and similar things. The same friends he sat with at lunch every day would get together outside of school, talk about it in front of him the next day, without bothering to invite him or even be polite enough not to discuss it in front of him. The same thing happened with "senior ditch day" where one kid happened to invite him to it last minute. The boys at Seton were mean spirited and contributed to a hostile environment for my son. We deeply regret his choice to attend Seton Catholic and would not do it again.

I had two children attend from 2016 through 2023. Both of my children not only attended, but ultimately graduated from Seton Catholic Preparatory. As a parent it is my belief they were extremely fortunate to have attended high school here and truly believe they received a quality education. It was important that they experience a faith based education and to be a part of such a tight knit community was just absolutely amazing. I am very grateful to the faculty and administrators whom I found very dedicated and committed to bringing out the best in each and every student. I would highly recommend Seton Catholic!

Personally, when I was here as a freshman through junior year. I had experienced some kind of anxiety and some social issues with people at this school. They just didn’t sound nice to me and I moved because of that. Although, the teachers and staff are incredibly helpful and nice and caring. They made me feel good and helped my education move forward.

Seton Catholic is a very great school to prepare for college. Everything is centered around the Catholic faith with the teachers incorporating religion into every lesson. The smaller community provides a welcoming environment for all students, parents, and visitors.

Seton has 100% stepped up to the challenge of online school. We did not miss a single day of school, and the transition was made smoothly and efficiently. Teachers give encouraging feedback and provide engaging projects and activities. The administration really cares about the students, and they encourage us to reach out to them if we need anything. I am still busy and learning a lot through online learning at Seton. Even my dance class has gone online! We are putting together a Virtual Fine Arts Night video performance, since we are not able to have our final Fine Arts Night in person. Overall, Seton has done an amazing job at making this transition smooth, efficient, and encouraging!

Overall the school has met our high expectations. The experience during the shutdown has exceeded our expectations.

Seton has done an amazing job transitioning to online learning when schools closed down. Our students didn't miss a beat. Teachers, counselors and admin have been very supportive. Great communication--continue with staying a strong community by celebrating mass via livestream on youtube, and praying the rosary. As a result of COVD-19 the academic rigor is still maintained even through online learning.

Two years ago when relocating to AZ, our entire family fell in love with Seton and we haven’t been disappointed! Coming from the East Coast, we were not thrilled with the size of public high schools and AZ overall ranking for schools. Seton eliminated both of those problems for us and our oldest loves it! In our two years at Seton, we have been impressed with the teachers, and administration. Everyone is caring and focused on the students. It is reassuring to send your child to a school where they are not just another face on campus. We love all that Seton has to offer and can’t wait for our son to start there next year!!

We are very pleased with this school. Lots of activities and opportunities for the students on a faith-based campus. Teachers are invested in the helping the students do their best.

Seton is a decent school overall. Administration is usually somewhat of a joke, but if you take honors classes and work hard, it can be all right. The atmosphere largely depends on what classes you take.

Until the leadership changes at this school, I'd highly recommend avoiding it. There are so many other private schools to choose from in the area. Seton does not stand out. Be sure to read the parent review below from October, as it's spot on.

Fair. Now that we've reached the beginning of the end we have opted to remain here. Were we earlier in the high school career, a transfer would be required. Were we an 8th grade family making this decision with current knowledge, Seton would not make our short list of high schools.Lack of AP options, poor dual enrollment opportunities, poor summer school course options, poor leadership, poor direction for high academic students, and the elitist cliquish atmosphere are difficult to tolerate.

If you forget about the exorbitant tuition cost, this is a decent school. Nothing great, nothing awful. Factor in the $11,000 tuition bill (if you are active Catholic, more if not), plus books, uniforms, registration fees, and incidentals, you have a very pricey sub-par college prep experience. If Catholic education is of primary importance, it may be a good fit for your kids. If not, you can get far more bang for the buck elsewhere. Class offerings are limited, facilities are dated, and in some areas of campus extremely neglected, student body tends to be snobby and over privileged, with parents who clearly are paying for kids with low academic initiative to have the words "college prep" on a transcript. There is nothing exciting or enticing about the program that would convince me it's worthy of the price tag.

This is our first year here at Seton and it has exceeded our high expectations. The curriculum, teachers, administration, staff and students are outstanding. My daughter says she loves her school, something she has never said in the past. The school is not easy, but they set it up to help the kids succeed. We are very impressed and pleased.
