I saw the Great Schools score of 3/10 and didn't want my son to go to Kinder here at first... but it was beginning of COVID and we couldn't get enrolled into our preferred school. So, we went to this school as our official 'home school', and prayed all would go well. Let me tell you, I am VERY IMPRESSED by the personable, encouraging staff, the curriculum, and even how they handled a budding bully experience in the 1st grade. My son is in a regular classroom, however is on an IEP. The special ed department takes the time to really get to know him and work with him as an individual. I have been nothing but impressed and thankful for the culture here, his main classroom teachers, the Dean of Students, and still getting to know the new Principal this year (so far so good!). My son has attended K-2nd grade here and I cannot recommend this school enough!

I have had the honor of sending my daughters to Sanborn Elementary since 2014. The teachers are amazing and invest their time to help students. It is a family atmosphere and even during Covid they kept the students learning online and in-person. The staff has kept the numbers of Covid extremely low. The counselors checked up on kids during the shut down and brought food to those in need. The counselors go around to classrooms and talk to the students to keep open communication. The staff works together for the good of the student. Sanborn is also a "Project Lead The Way" School which means they learn about things like physics and robotics starting in Kindergarten and do projects once a quarter. My girls have had wonderful teachers and I will keep sending them. Currently the student to teacher ratio is low which means more individualized attention! The staff also invests in teaching good character and what that means. They teach the 6 pillars.....respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship, trustworthiness. There are so many options to choose for education, and Sanborn is a wonderful school and the best!

My student has spent her K-5th grade years at Sanborn. She's been very happy with her teachers, her classmates, all the clubs and extra-curricular activities held throughout the year. She also enjoys the Fall Festival, Movie Night, Polar Express Night with the Holiday Bazaar, book fairs, Math/Science Night and Water Day at the end of the year.

I have had 4 children attend this school and have always been happy with the education and experience my children have received. The front office is always friendly and helpful. The teachers we have had have always been great, caring, and passionate about teaching. They have great clubs to offer too like running club, AR club and battle of the books.

I have three children that attend the school. And I also live in the neighborhood. One of my children has an IEP, and another one of my children Is a step daughter from a recently bad situation. I was very happy with my IEP team as they really reevaluated thoroughly my son And have tried to help him the best they can. Don't be mistaken though, you need to be willing to give what you want back, in return. Which means you need to be a very involved parent And your child's advocate. The school is great at returning the effort that you put into it. But they won't just do it themselves. I've heard a lot of parents complain about a school not supporting their child enough, but if you're not willing to put the extra time in yourself even if your working, have other kids and schools and activities happening, Then I really think that you can't complain When it comes to public school. I will say that I was not impressed at all with the free children's soccer program that took place that allows autistic children. They were not supportive of my son and the school actually was the one in my corner when an incident took place. but that is NOT part of Sanborn. They merely host it on campus. My stepdaughter absolutely loved her first grade teacher which is now her second grade teacher. I have informed that teacher of her past experiences and she did struggle at the beginning of first grade. Her teacher invested in her emotionally and academically to help her get where she needed to be and has also become a "friend" to my daughter and she believes she can talk to her about anything. I think that is a very important relationship For her to have at school and why she has caught up so quickly. Overall I have liked Sanborn.

Sanborn is a great neighbor school. The teachers are caring and supportive and willing to work with your student. The administration is helpful and accessible. The running club is amazing and the PE coach is a wonderful individual always willing to help out. My family had a wonderful experience at this school.

We looked for a school and district that we thought we would want to be a part of for a while. 5 years ago, we found Sanborn Elementary and the rest is history. We actually picked this elementary school then picked our house around it and in the boundary. We have 5 kids now that have either gone or going to Sanborn

The teachers, front office staff and parents work very well together.I appreciate the events that are put on by the PTO so that our students, families, and faculty can come together.

I have 2 children who have attended Sanborn Elementary. My daughter is now in junior high but attended Sanborn K-6, and my son will be a 5th grader this upcoming school year. I have been so pleased with the care and concern the teachers and staff have given my children over the years. Their teachers have gone above and beyond to make sure that my kids get challenged and cared for as if they were their own children.

This is my daughter's second year at Sanborn, and it's been "meh". Her teacher Mrs. Maxwell is amazing, and that is about it. I reached out to the principal Ms. Cole last year and got no response. In fact I never even knew who she was until this year. That's how "present" she is. The front office is also not super friendly. Any time I've been in the office for anything, they have given the impression that they'd rather be somewhere else. I rarely get a smile out of them. Looking at putting her in a better school next year.

Great teachers. Great school. Horrible, rude front office. The front office will make you feel like they don't care about you, your child, or the school itself. It's a shame, because the office does not represent the school culture.

Sanborn is a ok school, as far as teachers well it's like a group of nuts there is always a couple of bad ones. They seem to let the children play judge and jury . The teachers go off of what another child says to discipline your child so you will not know if your child was right or wrong. Academic wise they are good, and do have programs for the child that needs that extra help. This is not a school that does alot of field trips, but they are always asking for money. Front office can be rude and if you have a problem you will not be able to go to the school to speak with the principal, but Mrs. Capadona will reach back out but her main adjective is to stick up for the teachers even when the teacher is lacking.

All three of my children have attended Sanborn. We have really enjoyed it there! The teachers are phenomenal, music programs strong and well established, and "running club" is great. I'm not "zoned" for Sanborn, so we choose to go there every school year. I'm sticking with this school!

The first 3 years here have been good. This year has been not good. Our kid does not get challenged academically. His school work way too easy and hardly any homework. We don't get much feedback on how to help him advance.Had a problem and wanted to see principal but office staff wouldn't let us. If you get a good teacher and have no problems then this school is okay. We are looking for a different school.

Overall this is a wonderful school. My daughter has been there for 3 years now and receives a great education. My only "complaint" is that the front office does not check names or ID's of people picking up and I have a huge concern about safety in regards to that. I've picked up my daughter only a handful of times in the last year, and never have I ever been ID'd, and it's not like I'm active at the school and they know who I am. I definitely feel that this is something that needs to be addressed & reconciled immediately for the safety of our kids.

Although the education was ok. I felt there was to much politics and clicks. They were constantly asking for money like on a once to twice a week basis I felt like if I am paying for the education why isnt my child getting private school education. And everytime I was in office the people working were constantly bashing parents write in front of other parents I felt it was very offense and unprofessional. I am now sending my son to sonoran science academy I am proud to say my son is not only advancing quickly in education but they treat EVERYONE like family. They're not jumping down my throat for money and they are a charter school. Please look at All your options. Public schools are not your only option if you have a low income.

Love Sanborn! My oldest daughter is in the 4th grade and this is her third school. Sanborn has been the best. Teachers are wonderful! I don't know what every one means about the office staff and principal. I think they are fantastic. I love that Mrs. Capadona is always around and smiling and involved. I've never really had a problem or concern I had to bring up to them, so I guess I really don't know how they are when they handle concerns. I can't image they would be difficult to talk to.

NOTHING but good to say about Sanborn! I have found the principal and staff nothing but kind, understanding and listening. My son was diagnosed with autism while attending Sanborn. They were WONDERFUL to him and I've seen him grow and develop so much. I wish I could send all my kids to Sanborn.
