Great schooling experience! This school has different varieties of classes that students may choose from. One course I do recommend taking is the Biomedical side of PLTW. The engineering courses is just as good I believe. These classes is a great head start if you want your child to learn anything about the medical or engineering field. This school also promotes graduation the most, and the counselors try their best to help the students to graduate.

I have had 2 children who attended Carthage High School all four years. They received a great education, did very well on the ACT test, and had multiple academic scholarship offers. The school offers a wide range of advanced placement classes, dual credit classes, A+programs, as well as a fantastic technical school so there are many opportunities for students. Carthage School system was one of the first 5 high schools in Missouri to offer a biomedical career tract program:(http://www.carthage.k12.mo.us/HS/dept/depts/pltw/adams.html). The new high school is very spacious and technologically isone of the best. Most of the teachers are very involved with the students and the school. From the junior high through high school , my children only had one teacher that I would not recommend, and who is no longer teaching at Carthage. The Carthage school sysetm offers one of the more diverse student populations in southwest Missouri. Some parents may view that as a negative but my children enjoyed the diversity and felt it helped them prepare for life after high school. I would highly recommend the Carthage high school for academics and its extra-curricular programs.
