Our family loved thier experience at this school. It is extremely well resourced (individual Ipads for student use from home for COVID) and the entire staff from the principal to the teachers demonstrated care and love for their students. While I am unsure why the test scores and ratings are low, it may be due to the consistent turnover of students every year due to the military familes that are only stationed in the area for a single year. Do not judge this book by its cover, LeTort is a fantastic elementary school.

This school is fantastic. We had a great school year and even with the COVID-19 situation, the school, the county, and the school board effectively continued educational activities. Well done!

Great Schools does rate the heart of a school. Letort is a wonderful place for children to spend the day. Every member of the staff is devoted to the whole child, not just their test stats on paper. If a nurturing, comfortable, safe and homey environment is as important to you as tests scores this will be the school you’ve hoped for!

We had a fantastic experience at LeTort. The administration supports a positive approach to keep the entire school on track behaviorally and academically. The small size of the school allows the staff to get to really know all the students and their families. When the school operates like a family, everyone is more invested in the success of each other. Great things happening at this school!!!

LeTort Elementary is not rated well yet my son had a great experience here and my family is happy with LeTort. They were welcoming and friendly to AWC families. Great family feel at the school. The principal and guidance counselor are terrific and incredibly helpful.

The administration, staff, and teachers are fantastic! They provide many opportunities for the diverse population of students to shine. Highly recommend!! I would give them a 9/10!!

The rating for LeTort Elementary is not even close to reflecting how wonderful this school is. We are a military family and now in our second year here. Our kids have been in public and private schools all over the country. LeTort is the best. We care deeply about quality education and character development for our children; the teachers and administrators at LeTort have exceeded all of our expectations. They offer plenty of enrichment opportunities for all ages. Mostly, they just really care deeply for each individual student, and it shows.

We're a military family and our experience at LeTort has been fantastic - and confirms the advice we received from previous War College attendees. Starting the year, our 3rd grade son was behind in reading and spelling. His teacher and the staff supported him throughout the year. He is now an avid reader and his spelling is on grade level. They've also pushed him in subjects where he normally does well. The school does an amazing job of providing resources and assistance to parents so that parents can do their part as well. There are evening enrichment/fun/social activities on an almost monthly basis. It's been a great year for our son, and we look forward to him attending LeTort next year.

I cannot say enough great things about LeTort Elementary School. They are developing well-rounded students who are learning to love school. It's not just about learning either. They have field trips with meaning and not just to go somewhere, give back to the community, make learning fun, care about each and every student, have Ram Raves once a month, and so much more. I wish we were staying longer than just one year.

We had a wonderful experience. Wouldn’t hesitate to keep our kids here longer if we weren’t moving. The school does an amazing job managing the influx and turnover of War College kids each year

We loved our time at this school. We had kids in all grades except 1st at one point or another. The administration is the best we’ve had in the eight different schools our kids have attended through the years. The small school fosters a family feeling. Amazing teachers and academics. We were sad to leave. You will be glad your students attended here.

There is a friendly and kind environment for my child who is thriving this year at school. The staff, teachers, administration, parents and students are great and the community at this school has helped to foster confidence and emotional growth in my child. My son has an IEP and his needs are well met. The principal and the guidance counselor are phenomenal. We had a wonderful year here.

As a military family, we felt welcomed into the Carlisle School District. The staff was eager to meet each child’s needs from the start of the year. My child loved attending Letort Elementary School.

We are so pleased our children were part of the LeTort Elementary family this AWC year! They were welcomed, challenged, supported, and appreciated. The principal and counselor are especially great; I wish they could follow my children from school to school. Kudos and thanks to our children's teachers, too.

We are a military family here for AWC. This is my child's 4th elementary school and by far Letort has been our favorite. The principals positivity is felt from the moment you walk in the doors of the school. My child's teacher was AMAZING and REALLY understood the needs of my child!! We wished we could stay!

Our experience at this school has been very good. We are a military family and moving this summer, or our child would return to LeTort. My kids have attended Catholic school, DODEA schools, and public schools. LeTort does some things better and some things not as well as the others, but overall the experience has been just as good as it was at the other schools. The staff and faculty care, communicate and work hard. I'd definitely recommend.

I wish we weren't leaving, but unfortunately as a military family we're on the move, again. My kids have absolutely thrived at Le Tort. The teachers have been truly amazing. The office staff and teachers aides are organized and they communicate well. Even the admission process (and school records pickup at year-end) was smooth and easy. It has been an absolute pleasure from day one. I absolutely recommend this school to any military family moving Carlisle- don't let the "score" deter you. Take a tour and see for yourself.
