This schools has the very best staff and teachers that not only love their students, but push them to be the best version of themselves. The school has high standards and expectations for students and staff.

I started here as a seventh grader and graduated from here. The math department is terrible unless you're very good at math. The social studies is your average what you'd expect. The English department is fantastic those instructors really seem to care about you and your success in their class and in school in general. If you're looking to make new friends I highly recommend the drama department (the musical and play) everyone accepts everyone. I have heard that the choir has gone downhill since the last teacher retired but I cannot personally say anything about that since I have not seen them perform since I participated. As for administration (I was in the office a few times) while they have their flaws I believe they are a very good group. Mrs. Wilson was by far my favourite she cares about every single person that walks through that door and will do whatever she can to help. I know this is a long review but I sincerely hope it helps for when deciding to enroll your child.

Horrible teachers and a horrible administration in the high school and superintendent. The math department is filled with horrible teachers.

Cj is pretty fun. There are a few crummy teachers, but the good ones are so great they make up for the others.

Alright, I completely disagree with the student who submitted a review above me. I moved to the Carl Junction District after attending schools in Kansas City my entire life. I attended Carl Junction High School for 3 years of my life, and the students weren't 'clique-y' at all, the school did focus on social issues, and every single instructor I had took a personal and academic interest in me as a student. I think this is an excellent school. Though not without some flaws, it is still the best in the area. It isn't completely sports-obsessed like Webb City or Joplin, offers a variety of classes that can challenge any students, and has an excellent, caring staff that will support students throughout their career.

This school is very clicky. Students focus on petty things like who the rich kids are than which kids to give a chance to be friends with. I am a student there and I don't have much good to say. There are some teachers that seem like they care but the rest are just close with parents. I have been going here since elementary school and the kids still don't want to accept me as a person. Social standards are more important than the academics! I hope you keep this review in thought before wanting to enroll your student.

This is the best school in southwest Missouri! The teachers are very encouraging, if you are a new student you meet new people and friends. The academics are better than other schools around southwest Missouri. The principles are always fair and treat problems properly. And if you have a problem the teachers are always happy to help!

Our children do well here in this school but are behind 2 complete school years with other school districts we have been in. We are working with private teachers and tudors to try and get our kids up with what will be a new school next year. Save yourself and your children the stress of trying to get caught up if you ever leave. AYP results show this district is lacking in many ways.
