I did not attend this school, but my children do. Unfortunately CCS does not prepare students well for entering the real world. The graduation rates are nothing to be proud of... and for those that graduate and go on to college... a high percentage of those students don't even make it through a two year program at a community college. It appears that most students opt to go to BOCES as an easy out to avoid a challenging learning environment. There are also many limitations for students pursuing advanced studies in math/science as we do not have enough teachers to help students who are ahead. We are hoping for a successful merger with a neighboring school to help improve the learning atmosphere for the middle/high schoolers.

If you do not get welfare or any type of free medical from the state or government they will not help your child if they are special needs. They only help those that they can get reimbursed back and not those with private insurance. My child needed services so bad when we moved from the district, he had to have extra special services because he was not on medicaid or other free health care and his services were delayed because of the school. The kids at the school especially the high schoolers grades 9th and up don't care about anything or any body. They act like everything is theirs and sell drugs and cigarettes on the street corner all the time. So many young kids getting pregnant and dropping out because there is nothing to do in that small town. Education is nothing. My children all in different grades learned nothing and did nothing in school. My children had went to many schools and this is the only school that had lots of homework but not projects or other interesting things for the kids. Go to a different school unless you like back woods nothing!

It's small and everyone knows and cares about each other!
