During the four years I have been at this school, I have seen and experienced the work ethic and care of teachers that is nothing less than world-class. My counselor has become like a third parent to me, always on top of my course decisions, scholarship applications, academic resurme, and my overall wellbeing, even when she's had so many other students to take care of as well. My teachers, all of them, have been extraordinary at explaining new and complex topics in ways that allow everyone in the class to understand. I am also good friends with the principal and assistant principales, but they are in no way leniant on misbehavior and make sure the school is a safe environment that invites children to grow and learn.

Let me tell yall something. The big wigs in that school came up with this k9 thing along with random searches. Whole classrooms at a time. That's really a negative impact on learning. Students constantly worry about 3 or 4 cops and principals busting through the door ready to snoop. Maybe they should search each others' butts and find the sticks.

My son attended since the 1st grade and now in the 5th grade. Never had any problems with the teachers or my son. But now since my son has been in the 5th grade there has been nothing but chaos. My son does want to go to school and asked for a teacher change. He is not himself when it comes to school. This scares me

I graduated from Bryant after having attended schools in Little Rock, and I have to say that given the options within the LRSD, students that attend Bryant have a much better chance to excel. Plus, all of the worth while schools in Little Rock have waiting lists which is how I ended up at Bryant. The teachers are top notch in the state (administration is a different story) and the money in that school goes a much longer way then funding in nearby schools. With that said, comparing any public school in AR to a public school outside this state is not a fair comparison. AR public schools constantly come in last, in the nation, when comparing test scores and literacy/graduation rates. My honest advice is if you live in the area and can't afford private school then send your kids to Bryant.

Bryant High School has the potential to be excellent. The upgraded facility looks great and the students are respectful, but some of the teachers and administrators are just that; teachers and adminstrators. The only time there is any feedback about your child is if they have done something wrong; from something as small as chewing gum to being tardy. For example, my child was given a Saturday school suspension for being tardy but when it came time to be admitted to the Honor Society, she was turned down because of her "lack of leadership"; nevermind she has the grades and some of the best math scores in the state (upper 99th percentile). Once the school finds ways to value their kids as much as they've found ways to discipline them, the school will be excellent.

This is a good school. The district has experienced growing pains in the past several years because so many people want to attend. The high school campus is in desperate need of upgrade/expansion, but that is in the works and should be complete within a year or so. They offer a good variety of of AP courses. There is a lot of emphasis on athletics, but plenty of opportunities in others areas, as well. However, if you're child is average and doesn't seek out opportunities, they may be lost in the masses.
