My daughter attended SME from K-3rd grade with little to no challenge. We made the decision to enroll our daughter in private school where she is now excelling. The leadership and poor communication skills of the principal and some of the teachers make for very strained relationships with concerned parents. Unless of course, you are the PTA prez or part of the cliques of parents that are very, very inappropriate. This school is not about inclusion but exclusion. Very , very poor communication all around. Big issues with creative writing skills and ELA.

Results of teaching to tests remain undocumented. However, the SMES teachers are an enthusiastic, dedicated group and are lead by Kate Matthews, the best principal in the system.
