Let's just say I don't want to go into detail because this was otherwise a great school, but one teacher needed to know better. A couple of years ago, when my grandbaby was in third grade, there was a girl who made a racist comment to her and the teacher did nothing. Didn't pull her aside, didn't say anything, did nothing. Then there was a boy she was mean to, and the teacher ignored that, too. Thank God my grandson is in sixth grade now, but it just rubs me the wrong way that this teacher was never reprimanded for her behavior. That's what rubs me the wrong way.

My child currently attends Monroe and has learned far more than I expected! I’m blown away by the support, compassion, knowledge, and enthusiasm of the staff. Even when my family was going through a difficult time, Monroe’s staff helped us navigate through it. Their support has been invaluable to my child and my family.

This school has kids from all social strata in its classrooms. The teachers genuinely care about children succeeding in school and learning beyond the classroom walls.
