If any new parents are looking for daycare for their baby, here is a quick note about my experience as a new mom with Williamsburg Montessori: I couldn't be happier. Our baby started when he was a little over five months in the Nido program, and he's now 13 months and about to graduate into the next class. The experience has been wonderful. By way of example of how personalized the program is at Nido: when our baby was about to start, his primary teacher took the time to come to our house for a visit with us and the baby, to get to know him, learn about his routines, start getting him comfortable with her... we then were invited for a visit to the school after hours, so baby could get use to the environment while feeling safe with mom and dad around. And that's just an example; as baby has grown and thrived in the program, we get daily updates about his activities (meals, naps, etc.), we get periodic check ins with his teachers re his progress, strengths and areas for improvement, etc. I was very nervous about leaving such a small baby when we first started, but now I'm convinced that this has been for the best.

As a new family to Williamsburg Montessori, we’ve been continuously impressed with the educational environment, guides and administration and the learning and development we’ve seen in our son (3.5yr). Additionally, we appreciate all the ways in which the schools offers community outside of the classroom, including parent and family events and a leaned-in PGA.

Absolutely love love love Williamsburg Montessori. You can just feel the love and peaceful vibe from the moment you walk in. My kids are loving every minute. This week the kids baked (yes, legit baked!) blueberry bread at school and I have learned how to meditate from my two year old! The staff is amazing and you can just tell everyone loves what they do. The school does a great job of keeping parents engaged in what’s going on in the school through parent chat groups, newsletters, periodic meetings, etc. It really feels like a community. Highly recommend

Our kiddo has been attending WMS since age 15 months and is now 3 years old. We absolutely LOVE the school and everyone in it!The head of school is brilliant and one can tell she really loves what she does. She puts a lot of thought and effort into maintaining a beautiful and welcoming environment that is true to Montessori principles and teachings. The safety and well-being of the children is front and center in every decision the school makes. The teachers we’ve had from the lower toddlers classroom through the Children’s House have been amazing and our kiddo has loved each one of them. They give detailed evaluations of what the kids are working on and how they are developing during the parent-teacher meetings. They really know each child individually and know how to provide the appropriate challenges for their unique developmental stage. They have also all been really approachable whenever we’ve had questions. The rest of the admin staff and even teachers from other classrooms that our kiddo does not attend still know us and our kid by name which I think is really sweet. It seems everyone in the school makes an effort to make families feel like this is their second home!We feel strongly that sending our kiddo to WMS is one of the best decisions we’ve made!

Nov. 2023 We are still attending with a now 5 & 7yo & are just as happy as ever. Started here in 2018 with my 21mo whom is now 7yo & my 2nd child started in 2020 also at 21mo. The school is growing & the 1st-6th grade students just moved into a new building a couple blocks away on Broadway. Guides here truly take the time to know each & ever child & follow their lead as they progress in their education. Administration is always available to answer your questions or concerns. If you are looking for a real authentic Montessori experience this is your school. WMS will soon have dual accreditation from American Montessori Society & Middle States. Which speaks to its dedication & experience with the Montessori pedagogy. Children here get lots of outdoor time, elementary children have many extracurricular activities (art, dance, cooking, soccer, Spanish). The parent community is so warm & welcoming you can find many parents & children in the local playgrounds after school. There are many planned events for children & families throughout the year. We love being part of this school community & watching WMS grow.
