ok first of this school needs special ed classes because a autistic kid was in my class in my last grade there and like he was holding all of the classes we had together back and my sister WENT to this school for the 4th grade last year when she came home she looked exhausted EVERY SINGLE DAY she came home listen it was probably the teacher but still and we had to pray n stuff like none of the reviews said anything about that praying should be optional in conclusion I’m never sending my kid there when I grow up.

Teachers are unprofessional . The curriculum is subpar . The ratings for the school are in alignment with DOE so what are you actually paying for ? They don't nurture the children as needed and are a disappointment and waste of time

We were excited to enroll our son on a Monday. By Wednesday, they said he was eligible due to our address. This was after we bought uniforms and told his former school district that he was not returning. My son lost his seat due to bad information. Make sure you read all documents because the staff missed the mark with our admission process!

My daughter had an awesome first year at Trey Whitfield. I am certain with the continued support and guidance from the staff here she will continue to succeed.

I would rate my experience at this school as good. I say this because the teaching is effective and they truly treat kids like they're family even if they are new.

Very Good experience. They are an excellent school that challenge their students not only academically but overall.

Trey Whitfield School is a hidden gem in the heart of Brooklyn. Don't be fooled by the location or their small size. My daughter has attended this school since Pre-K. The teachers are thoughtful, easy to communicate with, and most importantly love teaching the students. My daughter will be entering the seventh grade this fall and I am excited to see how she will grown from the interactions at school. The children at Trey are kind, they are smart and competitive in learning. Trey Whitfield may not be a state of the art private school, but I have never one day worried that my child was missing out on anything in addition to knowing that she is SAFE! This school is exceptional, they have small class sizes, and they make communication easy. The school is faith based which keeps the children focused and grounded. There are teachers that will take their time out to tutor the kids in preparation for state exams. They coach them on personal issues and are present after hours for parents alike. Many teachers send their own children to this school, that should speak to the quality of education. I have wanted to move out of Brooklyn for the past few years however, i refuse to leave until my daughter graduate because I know that there is no other school that can prepare her for the world or high school better than Trey. In addition to the opportunity to be accepted into some of the more sought after private high schools. After My child graduate I will move out of Brooklyn, that is how serious my love and appreciation is for this school. Not to mention, you won't find a more affordable private school. The cost is nothing compared to what you will see in your child after attending Trey. Even the issues that some see as negative are for a good reason. Some parents don't want to hold their children accountable for their behavior and don't want to elevate their self worth. Trey Whitfield has a strict dress code which most parents resist, but the rules are in place to protect your child and ensure that they remain safe. Who would not want that for their children? Don't hesitate to join the family. T.B

My son has attended TWS for the past 4 years and this will be his last year. Great for nursery thru 2, but as they go up in grade, the level of rigor and professionalism with staff decreases. Admin does not address parent concerns, instead they try to justify their teacher's unprofessional attitudes. Students are talked down to and there is limited if any parent communication from teachers.

My son has been going to this school since nursery and he started reading that year. He's now in 3rd grade and we are very very pleased with his progress. We are on spring break and he wants to go to school! His little sister will start nursery school there this September, no doubt she'll do great too. We love Trey Whitfield School!!

My child will not be coming back to Trey Whitfield School... My son been there for 3years.. This is the first time I'm very disappointed with his teacher .. Verbally abusive to the class.. Example this class is lazy, the other class will pass the test.. This is the worst class I had.. Always screaming at the class.. I had enough of complaining to Admin.. Nothing is being done.. I've decided to take my child and my money somewhere else.. For some reason the teachers and Admin forget the children of their school keeps them in business.. There are other good schools out there.. I'm very dissatisfied and will not recommend the school to none of my friends..

I give Trey Whitfield 3 stars only because this school is a very good school for the pre-school age too about 3rd grade. After that the teaching level drops. Also some of the teaching staff as well as the administrator attitude is not professional. Example: The first day of school I went to pick my child up and as he walked off the line the teacher did not ask him who I was or did not make the effort to make sure that I was the person scheduled to pick him up. Also the day before orientation for the first school semester some kids stated to her that their parents will not be able to attend and the teacher responded "thats good, less parents for me to meet". I am currently looking for a new school for my child at this time. My family alone had 5 kids in this school and we have pulled 3 out of the five so far and is now working on the others.
