St. Ephrem School is truly a gem in our community, and under the leadership of Principal Michael Phillips, it has only grown stronger. The school has always had a welcoming, tight-knit environment, and now with his guidance, that sense of family is even more apparent. Principal Phillips brings a refreshing energy and focus to the school, but what really stands out is the balance he’s created between academic rigor, personal growth, and community spirit. The students are thriving in an environment where learning is both challenging and enjoyable. Teachers go above and beyond to engage with their students, and the curriculum has a healthy mix of academic excellence and creative exploration. It’s clear that the school prioritizes not just textbook knowledge but also critical thinking, collaboration, and emotional development. I’ve seen kids grow not only in their subjects but also as confident, thoughtful individuals. What I also love about St. Ephrem is how connected the entire family feels to the school. From parent-teacher conferences to community events, there’s a real sense of involvement and support. It’s not just about the children’s education; it’s about creating a positive, enriching experience for the whole family. The sense of camaraderie between families, teachers, and staff creates an environment where everyone feels like they’re part of something special. The school truly fosters a holistic approach to development—academic, social, and emotional. The kids are not just preparing for the next grade, but for life. St. Ephrem continues to be a place where kids are not only educated, but also nurtured into well-rounded individuals. It’s a school where families feel supported, and children are given the tools they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

There's nothing progressive about St Ephrem. For 6K in tuition + fees, $ uniforms, & CONSTANT fundraising you get a basic education. Kids do workbooks all day except for recess in the school parking lot. They get art & music once a week. Chronic issues with first graders wetting their pants because their too scared to ask the teacher to go to the bathroom. When they gave this teacher an award for her "excellence," I knew it was hopeless thinking things might improve. Principal calls the school a family but seems pretty unaware about some of the nasty social dynamics going on. Some teachers are nice & try hard, but that was not enough for me to keep my kid there.

Bad school period. My kids.at kindergarten we're tortured not allowed to go to the toilet and my 5 year old daughter came out of school with urine and feces all over her. As bizarre as it was I kept kids at school, they learned absolutely nothing after transferring to st.Anselm teachers were shocked how they don't know basics and took us 3 months to catch up with level of other students at st. Anselm. Needless to say it was horrible experience, thank God it was only Kindergarten.

My daughter graduated from St. Ephrem last year after attending from Pre-K to 8th grade. She had a fantastic experience! She did very well academically and socially. As a family, we all made wonderful friendships. My husband and I loved volunteering at the many wonderful events that take place each year. The school is a wonderful community of families and school staff that believe in the value of a well-rounded education with focus on Catholic identity, athletics and community involvement. . It was a wonderful experience!

Both of my children attend this school since early nursery. It is a loving environment with caring teachers and a wonderful curriculum. My children love going to school everyday and have made wonderful friendships. There is a strong form of discipline but in a healthy way not in a way that is intimidating to any of the children. This is a wonderful school with a loving and nurturing and challenging academic environment. My children and I couldn't be happier.
