I am a student at is 211 John wilson middle school it is my first year attending and i hope it will be my last. This school has teachers who just want to get a paycheck. I'm in the gifted program aka the Astral program in the school. The teacher was giving us a definition of a word and she was reading it off her phone! She is an english teacher by the way and the word was prefix. Kids bully my cousin and there is too much drama that will distract you. The teachers will hold grudges against your kids if they do something wrong and one time my teachers dragged a girl by her hoodie out the classroom and the teachers walk you to class and too many fights take place. DONT GO HERE!!

I HAVE A DAUGHTER IN 6TH GRADE AT THIS SCHOOL. THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE WORST DECISIONS I EVER MADE. THIS SCHOOL IS VERY RODWY THE KIDS CURSE WITH NO REGARD FOR THE PRESENCES OF ADULTS OR PARENTS ENTERING OR LEAVING THE SCHOOL. SECURITY STAFF DISREGARDS OR JOINS IN WITH THE VULGAR BEHAVIOR. THE SCHOOLS STATES THAT HAVE 3 ACADEMIES WITH DIFFERENT FOCUSES THIS DOES NOT EXSIST. IN GYM CLASS MY CHILD STATE SHE DOES ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING NO GAMES OR SPORTS YET THEY GIVE OUT GRADES OF 85 90 TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD OF COURSE. THIS SCHOOL IS AN EMBARRASMENT TO THE COMMUNITY AND I AM ACTIVELY TRYING TO GET MY CHILD OUT ASAP. THIS SCHOOL IS VERY DISAPPOINTING.

My daughter attends the Astral program at this school, and I'm pleased with her teachers and principal. There's a heavy focus on disicipline and improving test scores so the students may exceed level 4+ standards so they may have a chance at competing with schools with level 6 students. The parent coordinator is great as well. He's easy to talk to and he keeps the parents regularly informed on the school's activities, and your child's behavior when necessary. This institution is a rare gem in Canarsie.

I have had several experiences with this school and to say the least, they have great leadership. I take my hat off to Mr. Job, Ms. Delince, Mrs. James. They are definitely individuals that has left won me over with their dedication. In other cases...Ms. Bowman...in my opinion does NOT need to be apart of this school. She needs more experience in teaching and handling matters. She is definitely NOT one that I would recommend teaching students. I have heard and shared several personal negative experiences with her.
