My 6 year old kindergarten daughter was penalized for not doing her because she didn't understand what was being done. Instead of the teacher helper actually helping her, my daughter was sent to another classroom and put in the timeout chair in the back of the classroom with the work she wasn't doing because she didn't understand it. My daughter has ADHD and never once did the teacher use the plan that the guidance counselor drew up. In my opinion the plan was made for show. My daughter was constantly sat alone facing a wall because she would get out of her seat or talk with her friend. I understand you shouldn't be talking in class but she is 6 years old. When I would communicate my concerns to the teacher she would flat out lie to me. My daughter would cry everyday not wanting to go to school. I tried and tried to transfer her but they would keep pushing it off. Her teacher would go through every child's lunch box before going to lunch and if she felt they had to much food she would make them put stuff in their backpacks. There was a couple times my daughter wasn't able to participate with the class if they were having ice cream, popcorn ect, she was made to sit right there in the class watching the rest of the children participating. You can send my daughter to another classroom for not doing her work because she didn't understand but you can't send her so she's not watching all her peers eat ice cream? You can't call the teacher they don't have phones. You have to call the main office and hope the teacher calls you back. More often than not I didn't get a call back. I would never recommend this school to ANYONE. Dave your child's love for learning and go elsewhere. Please. The ruined my daughters love for school in kindergarten.

GREAT . Wouldnt choose another school for my chidlren to attend. I also attend this school when I was a child and I too have very fond memories of GREAT teachers whom helped me succeed.

This is defiantly a school you would want your son or daughter to attend! I've been at this school for 6 years but I have to leave now to attend High School. The principle there is amazing she knows each & every student, she's someone you can talk to, she knows how to turn your frown upside down. The teachers there are also the best they sit & work with every student & we cant forget about the councilors! This is a wonderful, caring school. It brings tears to my eyes knowing I'm leaving & can't come back. Put this as one of your choice you really won't regret it!

The style of the building itself is not the best model for learning, however, the principal is amazing and seems to know every kid and there are like 1,000 of them. Great leadership and caring for the kids.
