This school is not bad, just as long as you play sports, bullying is a large issue and, especially now racism and other bigotry, some teachers are excellent at their jobs and some are not even close.

You know, many people put Bridgeton High down, but in reality, it is nowhere near that bad. People say it is racially mixed, but as a graduate there, I can say that is only if YOU make it that way. Being a school of such mixed cultures and races, cliques don't exist. I was in the marching band, which in some schools would put me at the forefront of harassment. That didn't happen. The band is respected as well as all other clubs and athletics. Like every school, there are teachers that make you want to claw your brain out, but BHS has some of the most excellent teachers I've ever met. They challenged you to do better, not only in school, but in life itself. These teachers made you ask the 'What ifs' besides just telling you why something is. The academic programs like the Honor Society is amazing. They inspired me and many others to take pride in performing community service such as road clean ups, and, they managed to make it fun at the same time. The BOE has it's problems, but, they listen to their students and parents. If everyone thinks something needs to change, they need only speak up and the BOE will listen. For example, the 2011 graduation.
