When my child was in this school, they were absent a lot because they had a weak immune system and fell ill very often with multiple doctors notes as evidence that they were legitimately sick. The staff did not care including the principle, and there were many teachers who blamed him for not catching up with their work as soon as it was given to them. These people are legitimately inconsiderate and only want to look like a good school. They deemed my child as special needs because he was lower than average in his work but he was only struggling because he was constantly sick and couldn’t keep up with multiple assignments with his health. He is thriving in high school now, thank god he is doing much better now that he’s out of this bully of a school. Even the teachers couldn’t stop kids from bullying my child for being quiet and constantly sick. The principal cared more about his reputation than the well being of my child. My child is no longer considered a kid with special needs in high school because they’re doing better then most kids and this new school is actually siding with my child that this was not their fault. This school had many rude teachers and my other children have told me about times in the past when teachers would get so mad their faces would get red and they would yell and throw erasers and markers across the room. What kind of examples are these to give to children? What about the times teachers have angrily thrown board erases across the room and “accidentally hitting” a child? Nobody has spoken out about these things but they aren’t as nice as they seem. They talk badly about the students who don’t do well or are struggling financially. The gym teacher laughed in my other child’s face because they told him we couldn’t afford to buy them sneakers to participate? The gym teacher I believe was named Tim was never held accountable and they still talked badly about my children after years according to one of my children who overheard the gym teacher compare my children to each other. The older one didn’t have the privilege of shoes and the younger one was constantly sick. These people are legitimately inconsiderate and harsh. Why would someone not be considerate of a family with low income? This school is a joke and needs teachers replaced.

It's been over 10 years since I attended MCM. I was a student there from 2nd-5th grade. I am now a young professional and I can say without a doubt that the impact this school had on my life is immense. To this day, I still think back to my teachers who pushed me above what I thought I could do or manage. I was challenged in the best ways. Unforgettable experience.

You will love MCM! They are the best in Bridgeport! The staff is amazing! You will never find a school like MCM, they treat you like family and care so much for our child. They may expect higher achievement because they know the students can do it! The students are well behaved and they do not tolerate bad behavior. They teach children about all cultures and to be proud of their country of origin. They have a great success with parent involvement as well! They give great support to the parents as well as the students. You will never find a better school in Bridgeport! :) These scores are not correct by the way!

The teachers are like family and very open and willing to help the students. The children are always challenged at school, and striving to succeed. The connection between teachers and parent involvement plays a great role in the success of the students! The students feel welcomed and have a safe learning environment. Reading on a daily basis is always encouraged and recommended. My kids do not see themselves at any other school!

Never disappointed. Great teaching ethics and productivity. Parents could be more involved. But over all, really great school system.

My daughter has been a student at Multicultural Magnet since Kindergarten and is now in the 2nd grade. I have been impressed with the educating of the the teachers and how much the consistency of learning is obvious. Great school, great teachers, great principal. I expect greater things from this school and look forward to my daughter graduating from Multicultural Magnet.
