They are very cliquey. If your family has not been here for years or your child does not have an exceptional talent it will be hard for family. They do not let people in and they will make sure you feel it. Over the year that we have been here I've seen it with several times and have talked to a few of the new teachers that have even been subjected to this behavior. It makes it very hard when your child needs help because they will not have adult with any standing with the school to help them fight to get it. The verbal bullying can get bad and teachers will do nothing because it has not 'escalated'. Special education kids do get accommodations fairly quickly but some teachers don't read them so then you have to force them to do their jobs. But once they do they stick with it.

Bridge City has great teachers and coaches. The teachers care and they also trust the students to be mature and let their parent know when somethings wrong. If their grades improve, they don't call parents. The one bad thing about BC is it is so small and there is a lot of drama and backstabbing. Senority is also a big deal. Respect the upperclassmen, that's a big deal.
