I love this school. When my daughter was struggling with reading and math, her teacher reached out to me and suggested to put her in reading and math help. It is great that the school offers reading help. My daughters teacher put me in touch with another teacher from Chippewa that tutors math. This was beneficial to my daughter since she was familiar with the tutor already. She improved greatly in reading and math. I would recommend Chippewa.

Excellent. I've had two very different children attend Chippewa and with both of my children we have experienced excellent, committed and engaged teachers. Administrators and other staff have also been wonderful. I highly recommend Chippewa Elementary School.

Well 5 yr olds leave the building after school without a parent. Teachers bully. The teachers don’t help the parents and children strive the best they can. They teach them poor study habits by telling us about a test 1 day in advance. Overall. Besides the office staff and one of the first grade teachers who takes time with you. I don’t recommend this school.

My child was in kindergarten at Chippewa. They use "phonetic" approach to spelling where they don't actually give the correct spelling of a word, rather let the child spell it out like they think it "sounds". I said that my child was very bright and often asked how things were spelled and I wasn't going to lie. The teacher pretty much got argumentative with me and said that I didn't have to lie, but should rather say something like "how do you think it is spelled?" versus giving the correct spelling. I nodded and went home and continued to give the correct spelling as I have always done. Oh and I also moved my child to a private school at first grade which had a strong focus on basics of spelling, reading, writing, arithmetic and computer education. My child's spelling and reading skills are several grade levels above current grade at this point, while I know many neighborhood children who went to Chippewa who are struggling especially with spelling.
