My kids love going to school in Brashear, and the staff is amazing. When we moved into the school district, my children where both treated amazingly. I feel like they are getting sure a better education then at the previous larger school district. Brashear is small, and the school really has a family feeling.

This school plays the favortism card. Teachers that don't even live in Brashear have their kids come here. It's a benefit for the teachers, but not for the local students. If your a teacher's child you can get away with murder. Boys are treated the worse here, especially if not a teacher's kid. If your an outsider, forget it; don't even bother because they will treat you horrible. I had two kids go here, a boy and girl. The girl let the kids and teachers walk all over her and she felt like she was a nobody, but she got through it. My son on the other hand was abused since day one. First day of school, age 5, he cried and begged me not to send him back there. He was the oldest. Teacher kids constantly harrased my son. Several times he was picked on by a 5th grader on the bus. My son was in kindergarden. He came home with a tore up backpack a few times and I told him he better not tear up the next one. (I didn't know at the time he was getting picked on by a child who was in 5th grade). I figured my son was going to have to stand up for himself, because he had already tried asking them to stop and telling on the child (like principal told him to do). When the 5th grader tried taking his backpack for the 3rd time he fought back. He punched the 5th grader and the principal suspended my son for 3 days for hitting. Even though the other child had been picking on my son for weeks and destroyed his backpacks. We were not made out of money our household income of 5 was less than $15,000 for the year. My last straw at this school was when a teacher held my son while 3 teacher' kids beat him up. Then my son was arrested for fighting and he was 10. We finally moved to a different school after that and his record followed him, it was hard for the other school to believe that my son was a good child with all the remarks that the Brashear school said about him. I hate this school and I wouldn't recommend it to my enemies.

My school is Brashear Missouri and it might be small but there is only one classroom for each grade and one teacher for each grade. We are small but we are mighty. Nothing stands in front of our pride. BHS. Home of The Tigers and always will!!!!!!
