Brooker Elementary has been an absolute nightmare for my children and for me to deal with. The Principal Heidi Koplin is condescending when speaking to parents, and intimidates children. They can not keep consistent staff to save their lives. I had to remove both of my children from Brooker Elementary due to frequent staff changes and inappropriate conduct with my children.

Overall a great school with fantistic teachers and staff.

I have been overall satisfied with my child’s progress here and the effort the teachers have made that go above and beyond to have made the school year a success even with the now necessary distance learning during the pandemic. Onsite and offsite have both been a success.

I have loved being a part of the Brooker elementary family. The teachers, the expectations of my child and the support from the school have been amazing!

I love this school and the staff. My son will be attending kindergarten this year. I chose this school over our neighborhood school because the teachers and administrators are amazing!

It has been a wonderful experience for my child and as a parent. My child enjoys going to school at Brooker and has made many new friends this year.

Myself and my son both love Brooker! They have amazing teachers that go out of their way to help one another and kids that are not even in their classroom. You get a very friendly vibe just by walking around the campus. Teachers are out saying hello! Everyone is very kind and welcoming. I also love the events that the school puts on for my kids. We love going to movie nights, summer readings, skate nights, etc! He loves seeing all of the staff there and there are always tons participating. I would recommend Brooker to anyone that asks me where they should send their kids.

I would give them a two for the few teachers who were all right there, but hard to teach when you are told what to do.

We have been here for 5 years now with our second child going through. The staff does a great job with what they are given. The parent participation in the PTA is dismal which is sad because the parents who complain never do anything to help out when and where needed.

I would give them a 0 for effort.

This school is why we home school. Kelly is a ridiculious woman on a power trip, who only cares about how many fed grants she can get for handicap and foreign children. The school has went down hill very quickly under her reign. She don't listen to anyone not even the teachers that try to tell her what's going on in the class rooms. The school has lost many great teachers due to Kelly's ignorance. The PTA Is not much better they all collect extra materials from students at the beginning of the year such as 4 boxes of crayons. Your child gets 1 while they wrap the other 3 in a package to sell to the parents the following year as" school starter kits for 25.00 with 4 more packs of crayons and all the other extra materials they keep selling year after year. Thus the circle turns & turns. That school is a scam and the best thing that could happen is for Kelly to be fired! We have already reported her to the DOE on a federal level. Hopefully she will serve time for all the crooked back door deals she pulls.

No support from the Principal for the best interest of the students. I've raised three plus generation's in Brooker Elementary in the 1990'S, the Principal was supportive of the parents that had a concerns for their child. I have reached out to Mrs. Kelly for various year's from when she was Ms. Lacey and did not receive the support to resolve a situation for the best interest of the student.

I've never had my child treated so Terribly. He's always been an A student, gifted & fool of love for learning. This one teacher is a bully, my son never felt this way about school until we brought him to Brooker elementary. He now hides in his room Cry's and begs me not to send him because of how she treats him. I'm so over it! And if the school can't help me and change his class. I'm not going to be a happy mother.

Brooker has a tremendous faculty and staff who truly care for each and every child at this school. My daughter spent 6 years at Brooker and it was the best educational experience she has had in Hillsborough County. Turnover is low and everyone welcomes students and parents! There is an unofficial motto started, I believe,by a former principal. "Once a Brave, always a Brave!" My daughter definitely agrees!

I give the school an average rating for FL schools. Compared to our school we came from out of state it would get 1 star though. My biggest complaint is the front office staff. They are rude and not welcoming to parents or students. Thats not what I like leaving my kids with all day. Some teachers are great while others are not friendly. I volunteer weekly and most teachers can't say hello. They offer no activities/clubs nor any sports for the kids. My girls enjoy school here but I don't see either being challenged. This school also waste a lot of paper. My kids bring so much home. In today's time with technology, they need not be wasting so much paper. Updates should be posted on the website instead.

This school is acceptable I suppose compared to some other public schools, however this school particularly seems to have a higher than usual number of "special ed" kids, as well as English as a second language kids. This leaves your normal children a bit high and dry. My son has been at this school going into his 3rd year, every year he has had mentally, emotionally, behavior issue kids in his class, at least 4-5 EVERY year so far, with no extra teachers. The average kids are not getting the attention they need to excel and do better because the sub-average kids require enormous amounts of time and energy using up the limited resources a teacher has to offer their class. They cannot get rid of these kids, nor is it acceptable to put them in their own class, so the whole class is dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. We are moving, so I have no changed my sons school, but I cannot WAIT to get him OUT of this school!!!!
