This school is outstanding! From the teachers to the staff, and let's not forget the Principal and Assistant Principal's dedication to the well being and success of their Families and Students. The school went above and beyond in helping us provide the best education possible to my daughter, and the best follow-ups for our family while she attended Blanchard. The administration of the school is even more efficient than the Disctrict's administration! My daughter asolutely loved her teachers and per my daughter, no bullies at the school.

This school prides itself on being welcoming and creating a sense of community. As a parent of 2 students here I have never felt either of those things. From the office staff to the teachers you do not get a strong sense of connection or community here. Unless you are active on the PTF or a parent that is constantly demanding something, you basically just feel like an outsider. As for the academics there is a lack of development for skills such as project building, writing and homework. Unless you have special services or are gifted you just get lost in the shuffle and there is nothing special about the academics here.

We move last summer from another state and we are ver impressed how they create a team and work together to help my kids, both special needs with IEP. Teachers and Aids are caring and very focus on kids improvement.

Awful! This school has really slid since the new Principal started. There is no longer any homework so children are bored out of of their minds. When we told our child's teacher we were leaving she told that Blanchard did not have anything to offer children like ours, not on an IEP, well behaved, and smart. She suggested other schools in the district, or homeschooling for the education they deserve.

Amazing. Kids love it and are very happy.

My kid is second grader and his performance got degraded due to De-motivation. Teachers should learn to bring out the best out of the kids, not to judge them by their appearances or an occasional behavior. Overall teacher is not approachable. Too eager to change the school else where from Boxborough Blanchard.

We moved to Blanchard after starting in another town, and the children LOVE Blanchard. There is a strong sense of community, and it is obvious that the teachers really care about their work.

We love Blanchard! It has a strong sense of community, with great leadership (Mr. Labb and Dr. Tower) and teachers who are passionate and skilled in teaching. It has been a great place for my son to learn and grow as a person.

The school has so many days off and half days, I often wonder how my kids manage to learn anything at all. There are only two weeks during the entire fall semester that don't either have a day off or a half day. Even my kids think it's ridiculous.

A great school in a quality district. The teachers are responsive and willing to work with families to get the best outcome. While there have been some hiccups with the regionalization with the Acton/Boxborough school district, I believe district as a whole is moving in the right direction.

Since our school regionalized with Acton it has much bigger classes, fewer classroom assistants, fewer specials and fewer resources. The Acton-based district staff has been terrible to deal with in many areas. We used to love our school, but now we’re thinking of moving. It’s sad because we’ve had many good years at Blanchard and I can really see the decline.
