This school doesn’t do anything about bullying. My son has adhd and is treated like an outcast by the other students and staff. The school staff is incompetent at handling anything. It’s almost like the administration condones bullying. If you want your children to have the lowest self esteem and fear going to school because of constant harassment this would be a great school for you.

Wonderful school with great administration caring staff and small class sizes. Highly recommend.

Teachers and staff have always been amazing. Any time we’ve had any issues, they have been dealt with quickly by staff.

Teachers are nice and very supportive of the students. My kids have gone there K through 8 and have done very well. Prepares them well for high school.

We have never had a terrible experience with any school UNTIL we were in this school. We are parents of adult children as well a 1st grader and we will never ever support this school. We ended pulling our child out of this school in Feb. STAY AWAY!

Most teachers at the school are wonderful. There are some that need more experience.

My daughter loves this school. She gets a lot of assistance for her reading

The teachers and staff all go above and beyond to make sure that every child receives the level of attention they require. I have a son in Speech and we have had nothing but great experiences with his teachers and he is going to graduate sooner than expected! The PTO goes way above and beyond and hold many family/student functions, Teacher appreciation days and fundraisers to continuously better the school and play equipment. The class sizes are smaller-average. My son had 21 students in his class last year which was amazing!

You won't find more caring teachers with close ties to the community. Administration is caring and ever present. This school is small but mighty! We are forever grateful for the care provided to our children!

I honestly wish I could give this school 0 stars! Not only did my child struggle the last few years he went there but I was treated with disrespect and was made to feel like I had no right to speak up! My son has A.D.H.D. and epilepsy and when we had his 504 meeting with the special ed director he assured us that the school would accommodate his needs. Well when my son couldn't remember to bring home his homework ( which has always been an issue) the special ed director questioned him and made him so upset that when he got home he was crying! When I asked the special ed director about it he wouldn't even tell me what they talked about and said my son seemed perfectly fine when he left his office. He made it seem as if he did nothing wrong. The only time he appoligized was when I threatened to contact a lawyer. My son was supposed to be allowed to have his cromebook in school yet they never gave him access to the schools internet. And when he struggled getting his homework assignments home we added to his 504 plan that at the begining of every week we were to pick up all his homework in the main office. Well my husband took off work early every monday to pick up our sons work and evertime he tried to pick it up nothing was there. When I kept contacting the school no one ever called back. My son has always struggled is english and language arts he doesn't try to get out of doing his homework most of the time the work was done and he couldn't remember to turn it in. When I was told my son wasn't going to graduate 8th grade I told the special ed director the truth that they didn't do what they legally were suposed to then a month before graduating they tried to send all his work home. Any parent about to send their child to this school should see if they can send their kids to private school or out of district because it is definitely worth the extra money not to have to deal with the staff at St. George in bourbonnais!

This school is a JOKE! Teachers have no control over classes and can't seem to teach the curriculum that's suppose to be taught. The students ask for help and get the " well read the directions" saying, if they are asking for help then they obviously don't understand it. Also the staff changes yearly, the school can't seem to keep a consistent staff. That being said the new principal for this year is a joke and will be ran by the" parents click" as to she is already going on hear say rather than facts about things.Would not send my kids here would rather pay the extra money and send to a private school!!

Zero consistency. New administration every 2 years. Bullying is a BIG problem and could be taken more seriously. Poor morale.

Absolutely the worst - run school. The school board is made up of parents from the district, several of whom leak confidential staff and student information to their children and to others in the community. More than one child has been assaulted and physically threatened by other students who fall under their own set of rules, making the zero tolerance policy a joke. Students and staff are in danger due to a currently enrolled student who cannot control physical outbursts. The staff is bullied by administration who is bullied by the school board. Good honest parents are discouraged from volunteering by the parents who feel they are a threat to the way they bully staff. It would not come as a surprise to see this school on the evening news at some point.

This is a good school. My daughter loves going there. It's out in the country and that makes it even more special!!!

Bullying is a huge problem here! The turn over rate for staff and administration is very high. This is a school you can't just send your kids to and trust that decisions are being made in the favor of the children concerning their mental and physical well being. Bottom line is, if you want your child to remain mentally and physically sound, pick another school or you will be forced to continuously fight on behalf of your child.

St. George is terrible. The discipline is awful. Bullying is a problem. Some teachers do not have good classroom management. I would not have your children attend thi school. They can't keep the same administration. Taxes pay for two superintendents when they need a full time person to deal with discipline.

While preparing for the new school year and disgarding some old papers, I noticed that when my child attended a different school in a different state, they had more HW in kindergarten than in 1st grade. Personally, I think that's quite depressing. Maybe we need to return to our previous residence if the ONLY CHOICE OF SCHOOL is this sad and pathetic one. How can you only offer one school choice in a consolidated community???

The class sizes are decent and the I-SAT scores are good. I have no complaints about this school. The teachers and administration are great at communicating and are always looking for input. I know my son is attending a safe school.

Ive gone to this school since I was in 3rd grade, and I am now in 8th. I'm so happy that this is my last year here. I get in trouble for the STUPIDEST things. I got a detention earlier this year for using a calculator on an algebra MAP test. Whats worse, is that I had asked to get the calculator, and the teacher had said yes. After she saw me using it, she gave me detention and said that "she thought i was using it for math homework". It was the dumbest thing ever, and I honestly hate this school more than i have ever hated anything before. Most of the teachers are OK, but some of them think that because theyre teachers, theyre better than the students and its ridiculous. DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE,
