Re traumatizing victims of violence. Belittling parents and their children. Safety plans are a joke to them. Until a child is injured on their property. A parent not of my child was allowed to take her without consent. Jennifer Combs (principle) you're excuses are exhausting.

So many great things to say about this wonderful school and its Staff. They prepare kids well for the next level of school and beyond.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Roosevelt Elementary School. We've had 2 kids attend Roosevelt (K - 6) and every single teacher each of our kids had was terrific. In addition, the administration and support staff is top notch. We feel very fortunate that our kids got to attend Roosevelt.

I believe, and have believed for years, Roosevelt provides one of the best educational experiences in the district. It gives the kid a place to belong. The reason for the low score of Three stars is the professionalism of a few teaches. They don’t appear to be welcoming to parents. When greeted with a smile and a cheerful, “good morning” the teacher’s response is a sneer and a grunt without even looking up. I’m fairly confident it is not with all parents, because I have heard great things about Mrs. Wimer and Mrs. May. By in my experience they just grunt. Just a bit cliquish for my taste.

Having lived in Idaho for almost 40 years, I am confident in saying that Roosevelt is one of the top schools, in one of the best neighborhoods in the state. I have two children that attend the school from K-3rd grade. I have volunteered at Roosevelt on a weekly basis for the past four years. In that time, I am constantly impressed with the warm, caring, and supportive educational environment that Principal Bronner, the teachers and faculty, and the parents have created. My children love their school. Also, I think it speaks volumes that many of the teachers at Roosevelt also have children that attend the school. *I m not a huge proponent of standardized tests. However, for those that take them into consideration, Roosevelt consistently exceeds state testing standards.

The PTA is incredibly good at raising funds for the school to give them the extras most schools cant provide. Its in one of the very best neighborhoods in Boise.

We Love Roosevelt!!! The Principal, Mrs. Bronner is wonderful and we are already looking forward to Dr. Suess week this upcoming year. Mrs. Tammy Wangsgard has the patience of a saint and with Ms. Clark's help last year our 1st grade son went from a reluctant reader to an enthusiastic bookworm :) Ms. Tina always has a smile for the kids as well as for the parents and does an awesome job keeping an eye on the children in the playground. Thanks Roosevelt Staff!! ~ You are Dooley Appreciated ;)

This school is worse than any other school I have ever been involved with! The principal is incapable of quality leadership; the classroom and Special Ed teachers demonstrate a lack of competency. The atmosphere is unwelcoming and very cold to parents. Disorganization runs consistency throughout all departments most noticeably the 3,6 & elective classes! I would NOT recommend this school to anyone!

I'm so surprised to read the negative reviews about Roosevelt. This is a wonderful neighborhood school! I have now had two children attend, and with the exception of one teacher who has since retired, we have had a great experience. All of the teachers are very loving and kind. The administrative staff is responsive, open, and protective their students. The Principal, Ms. Bronner, is constantly in the halls interacting with students and knows each of them by name. Math comes easy to one of my children and his teacher has been super at supporting him through a more advanced curriculum. He is now mastering multiplication and division in the 2nd grade. There is a high level of parental involvement and many opportunities for parents to interact with your child and school staff. I will add that although there are families with quite a bit of money who attend Roosevelt, we are not one of them. And I have never felt that we are unable to access the best of what the school has to offer.
