We moved to Woodstock from out of state, so our son is new to the district and is in 6th grade this year at Bennett. My son is an anxious kid and generally needs extra support at school because of that, and I have been really impressed this year by how kind, caring, and patient the teachers are at Bennett. Each teacher has taken the time to get to know my son and meet his needs, and so my son has made a lot of progress this year and has gained a lot of confidence.

This school has been amazing for our 2 children (4th and 6th grade). The teachers are caring and there is a sense of community among them. The principal is good at what he does. People respect him but also like his fun and passionate personality. Children love him as well. I have nothing negative to say.

Please consider another school! my child's teacher would throw temper tantrums and throw things, and scream. My child has never hated school till she went here, last year. Whoever had a great idea to consolidate schools got it really wrong. She felt stupid, found no compassion with the math she found difficult. There were some problems with another child and I did not find out till after the principal supposedly dealt with them. I had no say in the manner. There is truly no parent/ school connection. If possible do not send your child here! there are about 25 kids per class with only 1 teacher. they are teaching to test, there is no joy here at all. institutionalized to the max!

Sad, but I went to this school as a child, It was an honer to go there. The adminstration has run this place in the ground. The teachers are overwhelmed by the number of students per. I found that my child was pushed aside do to a learning disabilty that they didn't notice do to lack of education on thier behalf. My child now attends St. Marys as well and they picked up on this right away.

bennett school was the most horrific school I ever sent my children to. the teachers just are babysitting children there,to anyone who wants REAL education I would never even think of this school for your child! the principal has no REAL education besides science, and when you bring REAL problems to his attention they brush it off! I drove my kids every day and not ONCE did any teachers tell my my children are doing bad, but yet was completely shocked to see thier horrible report cards! they are over paid for putting out no education, my children are now in ST. marys of the snow and are on the honor roll!!!! this school was a waste of my time!
