As a parent who put one child through this school, I cannot express how glad I am to have moved out of the district before my younger son would have been in this school! It is terribly dated, and cannot possibly comply with safety regulations. Many areas are in disrepair, it always looks dirty, and is not handicap accessible which made it hard for myself and grandparents to get around during school functions. The building is often hot early and late in the school year, and cold in the winter due to lack of insulation, old windows, and an over-taxed HVAC system. One of the foam ceiling tiles actually fell from the ceiling ON my son while in his desk! The staff is hit or miss - there were a few that went above and beyond to help my son (both special behavioral needs as well as gifted academically) succeed, while others seemed to not care what went on around them and allowed severe bullying to go unchecked.
