I had a horrible experience. My daughter spent a VERY short amount of time in this 'school'. I give up 100% on public school education. They do not teach your children to be independent individuals. They teach ridiculous tests so that they can keep their '10' great schools rating. Don't expect your kid to learn anything about real life. The teacher she had didn't like me because I gently asked her to find a new method of disciplining children. I gave her an evidence based article to help her realize that taking away recess was probably the worst way to discipline a child. I don't even know why my child was being singled out over and over....I know she didn't want to do a crossword puzzle and the teacher would try to force her to do the puzzle. She didn't want to do it! Move on already! I asked the teacher to give her an 'F' if she didn't do it....But, she didn't do so and continued to put my daughter in silent lunch to force her to do the cross word puzzle. When she brought the puzzle home, she did it in front of me with no strain (except the crossword did not spell DR. Martin Luther King CORRECTLY) and she told me she is just tired of doing the same crosswords over and over. That is what public school does.....teaches the same junk over and over. It seems that black History is ALL they teach in Birmingham. AND IT'S NOT EVEN ACCURATE! This school is only good if you have a blond haired white kid....maybe then they wont get picked on by other kids and teachers!

Both of my kids attended Inverness and I could not have picked a better school for them when we moved here. The teachers are great and support the kids at and away from the school as I have seen some come to the kids outside extra curricular activities. if you child is struggling in a certain area, the jump right in and do anything they can to bring focus on the problem and put steps in place to help the child improve.

Inverness is a phenominal school! You know how you are worried if your kid will get the "it" teacher...not to worry here! Every teacher is equally talented! My daughter LOVES coming to school and is challenged in a nurturing environment. She could read fluently 1/2 way through kindergarten and is well on her way to a wonderful educational career! Thanks Inverness for being a wonderful place to learn!!

Inverness is great!! I would choose Inverness over ANY private school!! They are wonderful! They do an exceptional job with every child, but especialy children with special learning needs!!

I love Inverness Elementary school because they have a wonderful and caring staff. The staff members are the best and absolutely love the children, their jobs and get along with other faculty. You can definitely tell they work well together!

Love Inverness! The teachers and staff are terrific! The school has a nurturing environment while teaching a quality education to prepare them for Intermediate School. I also enjoy the freedom for parents to be involved.

I always feel welcome at IES and the atmosphere is pleasant and the surroundings are safe. The office staff are helpful and my Grandchildren enjoy school. Each of them displays an eagerness to go to school and share their learning experiences with us with great enthusiam. I enjoy the programs that include the parents and the grandparents. Thank you!

Inverness is the best!! All my children have had wonderful experiences and we're always sad when they have to move on. As a parent, I've always felt welcome and it's a pleasure volunteering for such a great school! What a blessing to have teachers who really care and love the students. We're so thankful to be at IES!!
