My kids have gone to Elysian since we moved to Billings over 6 years ago from a small school we absolutely loved in Great Falls. We were worried about the transition into a new school, so I called to ask some questions and was met with a wonderful receptionist inviting me to come in for a tour with the principal. During the tour, all our fears were put to rest quickly. The staff here is truly awesome! They are warm, welcoming, and try to keep things light and fun for kids at every grade level. I have no doubts that my children are receiving a great education and are safe and in good hands when at school. We may be partial, but Elysian definitely makes us feel like our kids attend the best school Billings has to offer!

Our family has been a part of this school for over 10 years and are so proud to have our children educated by these wonderful teachers. The teachers work hard to help each student and meet them where they are. The current Admin team is wonderful to work with, always has an open door for questions or concerns, and is willing to help whenever needed. The whole school works together with parents and students to create a happy and positive culture.

If you thinking about sending your kid to Elysian. I would look else where. As a former student of Elysian. I can assure you if you come from poverty or not associated with the McCalls they will treat you differently. Teachers will even go as far as ganging up to make fun of students and call them names. In 2014 the school got money to build a track field so the kids don’t have to run down the busy industrial road during P.E. The road is used for beat trucks, and construction trucks who speed down the road. The kids safety is at risk during those times. This school is influenced by the decisions of the McCalls. As for academics they are running at a slower rate pace then most schools. Also if you disagree with the faculty they will punish your kid for it. If your kid has any difficulty learning they don’t have the all the resources to help with kids like that. Again if you are deciding to send your kid here I would look into other options.

This school used to be amazing when it was small. It is in the stages of bursting at the seams due to the neighborhoods being built around it. The school is not equipped to handle students with special needs, they do not have the knowledge or staff to address it, nor the programs. While trying to teach the kids the 7 Habits to be good people, they constantly contradict those actions with their own. The school has a very new staff that rotates often. If you have an average student they will do great! If you have a student with special needs or above average I would suggest finding a different school.

Awesome school with teachers who care and students who learn! It is a small town feel with a family vibe throughout the school! Kids are friendly and the staff is wonderful! Hands down the best school my kids have attended!

Ineffective staff. Become aware of bad situations for the students, and there’s no response. Very poor communication. Teacher turn around is way too high! The teachers and principal show favoritism, and reward bad behavior over good.

This school has poor leadership and standards of practice that are terrible to students. I strongly disagree this is an excellent school. The teachers are bullies and principal is a joke. Do not send your child here!!

Best school in MT! My son is a type 1 diabetic and every staff member has been more then helpful at making sure my son is very well taken car of, they keep on top of his sugar levels, keep him safe and healthy. The Principal and his teacher went the extra mile to talk to his class about diabetes so nobody was in fear if and when they seen my son's needle and to answer any questions, make sure he wouldn't get bullied etc. The secretary calls me every day to help figure out a safe insulin dose to give my son and the days the school Nurse is there she takes over with my son.I have been very very impressed not only with the education my son has received at this school, but the attention and care he has received for his disease as well! I couldn't of asked for a better school or a better team to work with!! We feel very blessed!

My son has been at Elysian for the last 5 years. Every teacher, member of the staff, and especially the principal are dedicated to the students' getting a quality education suited to their own needs. There is great parent involvement and are always welcome to visit and volunteer. Elysian recently passed a school bond in its district by almost 80% to expand and remodel to accommodate its growing needs for space and integrated teaching methods.

We loved Elysian! My son was in kindergarten and had a wonderful teacher, student teacher, and teachers aide in his class. The principal was very approachable and always took the time to address any concerns. Because of the small school size, the staff all knew who my son was and I really liked that. We were sad to move away from such a great school!
