While no place can be expected to be perfect, the school does encourage community and character building. Communication has improved every year. My concerns are always heard. My child enjoys going to school and is getting any help they need to progress and address weaknesses.

The bullying goes unchecked while minorities are targeted by the school administrators. They are more concerned with derailing a student's education due to personal vendettas than they are with making Hillside a safe and productive school. Trying to get a meeting to discuss issues with staff about your child's safety and academics will result in being escorted off of the property by the school police. My child was an honor roll student before coming to this school. A transfer was requested and I was told to "move out of town."
