I love this school so much. I think it is a great school. To be honest, the teachers are very nice, and the counselors are very helpful. I personally think that they do provide good emotional support to kids who are struggling with their mental health, which I do like a lot, and I like how the school is not as strict as other schools because, you know, other schools are very, very strict, and I like how in the school they allow you to wear a hat and hoodie to school, and they’re not too strict on dress code, which I also like, and plus the school breakfast and lunch here is free, which is certainly a plus. It’s just the only thing I do not like is I feel like the nurses could be a bit more helpful and a bit kinder because once I was going to the nurse because I was feeling really ill; I had like a runny nose. My head was warm. I had a big headache, and my stomach was hurting, and the nurse just said we have like an hour left of school; just deal with it, which I also did not really appreciate, but I did not really want to say anything to her, so I feel like they can work on being a bit better and having the nurses be a bit more professional, understanding, and kinder to students. Overall, I would highly recommend coming to the school.

everyday you walk in and repeat the same things as the day before, nothing ever changes. first thing i will start with is the admin, the admin of this school is terrible the attitude is not to help students who are in need or students in constant trouble , its to punish them, detentions are 3 hours long and are scheduled on Wednesday or Saturday messing with work or family schedules. the admin also abuses its power usually threatening students with some sort of punishment, on many occasions i witnessed students being insulted or disrespected by admin staff only for the student to call it out and be punished. second thing is the teachers, most of them act as if they work there not to teach but because they were forced to, many of them do not care to help students who need it, they seem to not be able to ready students for college, i am a senior this year and so far i haven't even heard a teacher mention college or college readiness. teachers have unrealistic expectations of students, assigning major projects that are due within days of being announced, in general they do not care for students. finally the students, many students here struggle to learn anything, as did i. students act as if they are at school to be around friends not to learn, many of us skip classes or school all together due to lack of motivation. We have lost hope in this school to be a viable learning place and for staff to be helpful. i personally have many issues with this schools and do not see it as a school, but more like a correctional center where learning is not a priority.

Not good because they need better staff who are nice especially the nurses and the counselors. One time I had a bloody nose the nurse said next time you have a bloody nose go to the bathroom (ok, I am first aid trained the bathrooms have no chairs when you have a bloody nose the best thing is to sit down because if you don't eventually you could pass out from blood loss). One time I was having a mental crisis and none of the counselors were available. Sometimes I am disrespected by the teachers and I can't do anything about it because no one will believe me.

Look forward to new buildings and updates. How to get more parents involved in their child's education is not on the school system. The teachers are great.

There are many great teachers here, and they do the best they can with their hands tied by the administration. The admin lacks professionalism and is largely ineffective. The school system motto is inspiring excellence, but it is not evident in the way the schools are run. There is more concern with the marginal students achieving the minimum, than with the average and above average students achieving excellence. Many of the top students go off to college and find that they are not as well prepared as their college classmates. Many of the students lack respect for the teachers. This should be expected with the way the admin treats student, staff and parents, the attitude from admin is "shut up and sit down". The school building is run down and unkempt. The athletic facilities are out dated and the school does not have a stadium of their own. Admin does not return or acknowledge emails, and phone calls from students. Parent phone calls & emails are returned but to no avail, they don't want to hear what we have to say. The admin behaves as if this is their school. IT IS A PUBLIC SCHOOL AND BELONGS TO THE COMMUNITY. THAT INCLUDES ALL THREE CITIES, NOT JUST BEREA!

This school is now Middleburg Heights Junior High School and I have never been to a worse school! They have the students so packed into the building that no one can move in the hallways and you can never get to the lockers or into the classrooms. it takes me alittle over an hour to get home from school and they have our buses so packed full that there is not even 1 empty spot and sometime there are not even enough seats. The WORST school I have ever been too

I am upset that the Spanish @ class have been watching Spanish music school and doing spanish crosswords since the first day of class this year!
