I went to Kelly since kindergarten until I graduated and now my daughter goes to Kelly and will be graduating next year. Kelly is one of the best schools in Southeast Missouri in mine and my daughter's opinion and she transferred from Sikeston to Kelly in the 6th or 7th grade so she should know. Kelly must be ahead of other schools because my daughter had a tough time with Math and other subjects that Sikeston schools haven't even introduced to their students yet. With a lot of studying, hard work & dedication she was right back on track with her grades!!

Also my kindergartener was being bullied by a second grader while waiting outside for me to pick him up. Three teachers were out there and did nothing. I witnessed it while I was in line to pick him up. He told a teacher twice that this boy was pushing him, she ignored him & didn't say a word. We called the school and asked if we needed to have our son teach him a lesson since the teachers don't care she said no they'll take care of it. But yet the teachers still dont care and when your child has had enough bullying and stands up for themselves they'll be the one punished. Sorriest school system I know of!! And don't expect good teacher-parent communication. Teachers don't let u know anything!

Being a new person to Kelly Schools this school year, I have found that parent involvement is significantly lacking. Academics at the school are okay but I do not see anything that helps to stimulate creativity. Home work usually consist of work sheets only. I have made several attempts to volunteer through out the school year with no success. The school does have two family fun nights during the school year but no other activities for parents to participate in with their children. No PTO, no Grandparents Day, no Christmas (Holiday) Party, and no opportunities to come to the school to help teachers such as making copies, helping with bulletin boards, reading stories to the children. If you want to be able to drop your children off and not be involved, this is the school for you but if you like to be a part of your childs education, I would recommend another school district.

I am a Kelly alumni, and I thank this school for getting me to where I am today. I believe Kelly instilled true core values in me that has helped me succeed and become a prominent lawyer.

this school is nothing special. I have been going to Kelly since kindergarten and im now a jr. Kelly has barely any room for all the students and just built on. the new high school has been there for about a year and a half and it has been leeking all year. another problems are the bugs. There are nats and roaches everywhere. I would rather go to oran school than kelly bc its just not a very good place to be everyday.
