Good school, but not for children with ADHD or bipolar disorder. Will tell you and act like they know what they're doing, but they do not. Had to have Behavioral Health step in because of this. Honesty would have been nice. Some teachers are wonderful and understanding, others who do not seem to care, of course, are not. Consider this if you have a child with these issues. You may want to seek other avenues for educating your child. Lack of knowledge with the staff in these disorders can cause a lot of issues, as I found out the hard way with this school.

We have not been here very long as we just moved to KY 2 weeks ago. However, this school seems top notch to me. I called a week before we moved, and the woman who answered was more than helpful. She went above and beyond to get me phone numbers in the community as well as provide me with all the info I needed to register. On my son's first day they were super friendly with him. The assistant principal, Ms. Booth, came out the meet us and my son. He was shy, but she tried really hard to connect with him. Shortly she had his hand and was lovingly walking him to his room. She also stuck around while he investigated his new room and then took him to get breakfast. His teacher, Ms. Crass, promptly met with us when we requested it. In the short time my son has been there, she has identified that him for the top reading group and seems to have a good understanding after only 7 full days in her classroom. She gives me the "warm fuzzy feeling". The only thing I have concerns about, and I think this is the case nationally, is that the gifted and talented program does not start until 4th grade and then is small. I wish our GT kids could get the special needs services they need.
