As a recent attendant of this school, I can say this school is complete trash. During lunch, they weren't allowed to go outside. They were kept inside all the time during the lunch hour. You can get in trouble for the dumbest reasons at this school. The school dress code is stupid to. Who gets distracted by shoulders. This school also promotes bullying as said in another review. They don't do anything to help your situation which furthers the bullying once you tell an admin, someone you thought you could trust. Your teachers will sometimes even join in on your peers harassments. The school lunch here is also not that good. They always serve fries and rarely tator tots. They have no salt. They also serve the same lunch items over and over again. There is this one lunch lady who I enjoyed talking to every day. Her name is Mrs. Mellissa, she is an overall great person.

The Principal at Benton Junior High has zero concept in the area of supervision. She does not support the teachers, is utterly hateful and is a bully. I do not see how she keeps her job. She is a liability waiting to happen.

My children have attended the Benton School District for seven years and it has been a very positive experience. I am puzzled as to why others would write such negative reviews. The Middle School is exceptional and I would encourage any parent to consider enrolling their child in the Benton School District. Academically they score well above other districts every year. It is a small enough district to reap the benefits of personalize attention, but large enough to provide the students with state of the art equipment and many academic as well as extracurricular choices. My son is a special needs students and the Benton School District has always provided my family with caring, professional attitude and service. There will always be naysayers in every school district, infact there will always be those who find fault with every part of society, but Benton School District strives to be an excellent educational institution. In my opinion they succeed.
