This school is/was very emotionally draining for me. That’s just my personal experience. The teachers can be very inconsiderate and rude. Other than the rudeness and uneasy sense the school gives off the school is very much a good school.

I loved my time at BMHS. Amazing staff and extracurriculars.

Beloit's school board is consumed in trivial personal battles over identity politics, and the principal and school administration are weak. Many students at the school feel unsafe, as reported by a survey administered by the school district.

Our three children all proudly graduated from BELOIT MEMORIAL HIGH. They all have wonderful memories of their four years there, top notch AP classes, BELOIT COLLEGE PORTER SCHOLARS PROGRAM(college credit),diversified student body reflecting our culture, and resulting in real and lasting friendships,a building and equipment second to none, and a staff that is bright, dedicated and respected. We were truly fortunate to have this fine school!

Proud BMHS alum. BMHS is on the up and coming and the diversity there prepares you for the real world.

Considering the tax base in Beloit, I would focus an assessment less on aggregate test scores and more on student learning opportunities. We offer nearly every possible AP class, we have a competitive theater and music program, and our math and English curricula are both pre-AP. There are also state recognized, phenomenal programs for students with special needs. As a regular ed teacher, I go above and beyond to meet the needs of each of my students. Administration is focused on student well-being as well as achievement. Frankly, I couldn't be prouder to work here or raise my children in this district.

I have grandchildren in Turner, Clinton, and Beloit.....Beloit has much more to offer. Comparing classes-apples to apples and oranges to oranges-Beloit demands more, expects more, and makes no adjustments to push a student thru. My other grandchildren tell me how they can beat the system and really only need to study to pass certain tests. What is truely sad is they would refuse to go to Beloit because it is "too hard". The school is BIG, diversified, and you need to do well to join in other activities. How sad that parents make excuses for the children who can't "cut the mustard" and try to run away and hide in a smaller school.

We've had three children at BMHS with a forth on the way and it's a wonderful school where your child has great opportunities to excel. Our kids have, and are doing just fine. They're taking AP classes and involved in all sorts of extracurricular activities. (the band program is second to none in the state) Sure, there are those that drag down overall school averages and those unfamiliar may get the wrong impression. Know there is likewise a large, diverse and growing community of strong, academically motivated kids w/ character who are doing just fine thank you. BMHS provides a relative oasis of cultural diversity lacking in the broader region that we as parents prefer for our kids education and personal development in preparation for their life ahead. You get back what you put in and BMHS has been an exceptional school for us.

Beloit Memorial is a great school providing a wide variety of academic subjects, a whole host of AP courses, extra curriculars galore and athletic programs that produce champions. The music and drama departments excel and compete among the best in the United States and in Scotland! I would highly recommend attending BMHS!

Both of our daughters graduated from Beloit Memorial High School and were very happy with the education they received. Our daughters did excellent in College and credit their success to the challenging classes which they were able to take at the High School. Another factor that really helped them is that socially they were very well adjusted since The School District is a multicultural District they could very easily relate to their many diverse friends they met after High School. We would highly recommend this school to our friends.
