Cornerstone Christian has become our community, and we feel so fortunate that our whole family, not just our children, have benefitted from being a part of this school. Our son attended for all of middle and high school and is now a freshman in college. Not only was he very well-equipped for college, but he was prepared for life upon leaving CCS. He had teachers who encouraged him both academically and spiritually. His principal and coach has been a huge support in his life and we consider the staff like family. Our daughter is currently a senior and has attended CCS since 4th grade. She also is going on to college after graduation and feels ready for the next chapter. Both of our kids have been challenged by taking AP level and Honors classes, had the opportunity for both domestic and international mission trips, and have competed (and won) at the State level of athletics. It is the daily moments in a “normal” school day, however, that we appreciate the most. Our kids often come home with stories of how God is moving at school and how they see His hand on CCS. They have been able to connect with their peers and teachers about real questions and struggles as they encounter challenges and make their faith their own.

Our family has been very blessed by Cornerstone Christian School. Not only has the school provided an excellent education through the years, the students, families, and staff have become a second family to us. Our children have been a part of the elementary school, middle school, and high school, and have had fantastic teachers at each grade level. One of our children has significant disabilites and the teachers have always been helpful and supportive. Because the school is a private school, it does not have all of the same special education services as a public school due to the lack of government funding. However, I feel that our child with disabilities is in a much more supportive and encouraging atmosphere and has thrived at Cornerstone Christian School. Both of our children have excelled academically and will be well prepared for college.

My son has been going to this school for 6 years. This school not only helped him but also helped the whole family learn more about Christ. Because of his love for Jesus, he was lead to encourage me and my husband to go to church and be more involved spiritually. The teachings were brought home and gave us more understanding about Jesus. This school is a community of parents and families praying, caring and helping each other when needs arises. This school also taught me so many things about Christian life., which cannot be compared to any ordinary school.

I have been a parent of students at CCS for over a decade and will continue to have students at the school for several more years to come. It has been an incredible partner in our children's spiritual, academic, social and athletic growth. In our family we have children who do not struggle academically and children that do. CCS has been able to challenge and keep our children who do not struggle with academics engaged. In the same regard CCS has worked with us and made accommodations for our children that do. It is a rigorous academic program BUT help is available.CCS has been an incredible partner in our children's spiritual development and growth and this is what we cherish the most. From pre-school - high school we have seen our spiritual teachings at home fortified in the curriculum and through the teachers and staff. As we launch our children into the world we have peace that we have done everything in our power to prepare them to be in the world but not of the world. Is CCS perfect - no, but it doesn't claim to be. People are complicated and problems arise. However, I have seen CCS extend grace, mercy, forgiveness, encouragement, and community. We are blessed to be part of this school and community.

If you are looking for a good Christian school, keep looking. Do not end your search here. My family went to CCS for 6 years and I volunteered on a regular basis. Two years ago I began to notice a few things regarding finances and the school board which made me question how things were being handled. When theses concerns were taken to the administration, I was told to trust and not question. I then went to the school board and was told by the board parents were not allowed at the meetings for new business. Our children were soon after disenrolled by administration without a reason being given. They did not kick out a students who sexually assaulted or made terroristic threats but they did kick out students of parents who wanted transparency and accountability. Think twice before enrolling your children at Cornerstone.

This school has been a game changer for my freshman daughter. Coming from public schools to here her grades have went from D student to B. She's made great friendships and the environment is spirit filled and kind. Best decision we made to send her here!

Please do not send your child here. The administrators do not hold kids accountable and there is so much bullying and harassment. If you are at all different from the people here, they are extremely quick to judge, harass, and discard. I have heard terrible things that no human being should ever say about one of my best friends. The same kids who say this preach Christianity and kindness to others. The teachers encourage close mindedness. I have had many bad experiences here myself as a former student. I went to CCS from kindergarten and the elementary school was ok. I had friends and fun in grades k-5th. However, middle school and high school is terrible. Besides the horrible social environment. There are very limited oppurtunities. There are sports teams but besides that, no clubs or academic oppurtunities besides a few like NHS. For students who are very interested in environmental science or sustainability, there are no oppurtunities. I tried to bring up getting recycling bins but it was met with dismissal. The high school is comprised of cubicles as classrooms. The middle and high school just got full walls to the ceiling. Students are asked on one of their first assignments of freshmen year to “describe the most traumatic experience of their lives”. How is this okay? The school is very fundamentalist and pretty fire and brimstone. This school fosters hatred and close mindedness. It doesn’t encourage students to reach for the stars or be open to new things. Unless you are the perfect type for them (ex. Extremely religious, extremely athletic, ready to cry during prayer chapels even if you dont want to) you will most likely have a bad experience.

I would rate this school a 2 out of 10. There are some good teachers, but the majority are very rude. I would not recommend sending kids here if they do not fit into the private school bubble. They will not adjust easily.

We transitioned to Cornerstone from homeschooling, and our children have flourished under the care of the teachers and staff. The expectations are higher and more challenging, but I love that my children are pushed to excel while still be encouraged to have good character too.

Excellent school! It's a caring/loving environment where the children learn much more than just what's presented from the state required curriculum. The staff is exceptional from the Principal down through the para professionals. Our children love going to school here, which includes kids in both the elementary and Jr. High/High School - great school!

Not the same anymore. I only write this review to warn others who might be considering Cornerstone. Our children whet from Kindergarten to 4th grade. Last year was our last. The school is very focused on growing and the quality and standards have seriously declined. At the time we left there was also a problem with bullying. A lot of poor decisions being made. It is sad to see.
