My son has done very well at this school. The staff has been very supportive of his learning disability and when we notify them of personal events that may effect his performance and behavior at school (death in the family, for example). If you communicate with the school about your child's needs (teachers, 504 coordinator, etc), they work as a team to create a support system for your child. They do an excellent job at ensuring that your child's needs are met.

Good except communication lead by current principle is weak. 2019-2020, 2020-2021.

This school really needs to be addressed about the bullying going on here and from reviews this has been an ongoing problem this is ridiculous!!Daughter being bullied at this school since she transfered fromCalifornia and they did nothing about it , instead of addressing the issue they turn everything around on my kid , when i have documentation and emails expressing her being bullied even came up there twice , they ignored the issue , but when she defends her self it’s a problem . Everyone from the principal to the counselor and superintendent or horrible , but i guess this is New Orleans for you , very sad and disappointing how they treat a military family that’s new out here . Send your child here at your own risk ! This school is very ghetto and they have no structure . Beware !! I wish i could give zero stars .

While teachers are very nice and seem to be supportive, I am extremely frustrated by lack of communication by the school. I am a member of several parent pages on Facebook and without them, I would be completely lost as to what is happening at the school. And I can tell from the questions being asked on those pages, I am not the only one who is frustrated and fed up with the school.

Well Since my Last Comment was deleted/removed. I will sit here and repost it, since it is only the Truth. Belle Chasse Middle School has a Great Teachers with good academics for the kids. But It ABSOLUTLY HAS NO DISCIPLINE. My daughter is going into the 8th grade,and we are trying to move to a different School district. BCMS has a no tolance to Bulling but My child was and has been constantly bullied over and over this past year. After nurmous complaints nothing was ever done to the bully except for a slap on the wrist. While this school has many activites for your child to join, you need to weigh the choice of your child's self esteem vs academics, and clubs. If your child has every been bullied, this school won't be the one for you , Cause kids here are very mean and will know your child is vurnable to such attacks.
