Please do your kid a favor and don't send them here if they're ahead in school. My girl started college in 10 grade and became a senior by Christmas her junior year. So the higher ups decided to make it miserable for her by not including her in senior activities. Even though it was her last year she didn't have a glass to toast at prom and was even pulled from her mentor class by an angry yelling teacher because they were also the prom committee class and my kid supposedly wasn't allowed to be in there. They have went out of their way to make sure my girl was not included and it's the biggest shame I've ever seen. A straight A student should have every opportunity in life, not held back by school staff . I hope you find a different school for your gifted children.

If it weren't for two particular teachers I would rate my experience even worse--well, if there were an option to give 0 stars, that is. I switched schools after my Freshman year (although I have a sibling still currently enrolled) and was able to complete my last 3 years of schooling in 1 due to not being held back by lazy and/or judgemental teachers and staff and the problems with other students. The physical conditions of the school are also atrocious. There is mold, exposed wiring, very little heating/cooling (usually completely broken), and dismal lighting that interferes with learning, amongst other issues. Bullying is a serious issue, including from staff themselves. If any student tries to solve a bullying problem via teacher or staff (as they are supposed to do), nothing is done until it escalates into a physical altercation. At this point in time (even before COVID-19, to clarify), all classes are in-school online courses with very little teacher help. Most students are failing or leaving due to this. Most students who are succeeding on their own are very unhappy with the circumstances in which they have to succeed. Even many teachers are very unhappy with the way this school runs. If you have the ability to go to a different school, I recommend nothing more than to do so.

This school, is the worst I have ever seen. The principal and the Board of Education does not care about the children that attend this school. They manage to take good kids who want to attend school and make good grades and dishearten them, when a child can make one mistake. I have a child who went from straight A's and honor classes to begging me not to go back to this school. I keep praying the state will step in and do something to help these kids and at the moment nothing is being done. If the state was watching then principal, the Superindent and the Board who decides these kids fates would not be the way it is.
