Would I recommend this school, depends on what you are looking for in a school. Academics: The academics are superb. If you are looking for a competitive academic environment with a strong curriculum, St. Luke has that for sure. My child left there with a great work ethic, and a strong foundational in his/her faith, and outstanding study skills. My child was very well prepared for the next private school he/she attended.Leadership: The the principal knows all the students very well, has a big heart and really does care about the well being for all students. She has an open door type policy where she is accessible to anyone who wants or needs to reach her. I can't speak for the staff on that one, but many parents and students liked her accessibility, I know I did the few times I needed to reach out to her. It is very comforting at the time to know you have a principal that really cares. However, leadership has room to improve in the fact that the principal struggles with trying to please everyone and avoid conflict to the point that it could be detrimental to the situation at hand. Sometimes being a strong leader means having to say no to parents, firing ineffective staff, or not hiring staff that may not be the best candidate just because they have a relationship with the school. Classroom: Class size can vary depending on the year anywhere between 15-25 students. I never thought the class sizes were too big that it got in the way of learning. Homework load was at times a little much but that is typical of Catholic school. Two out of three of my child's teachers were some of the best she ever had. The other teacher was the worst she ever had, but that is also typical anywhere else. Every school has their share of good and bad teachers. I was disappointed though that leadership waited it out with the bad teacher since they knew she was retiring instead of stepping into fix the problem.Social Environment: My child made friends quickly with classmates as did I with the parents. St. Luke is located near a military base and they do a great job with accepting transfer students and making sure they feel welcome. Just like any school, especially a private one, there are snobs, but not enough to disrupt the positive social environment, at least that was not our experience.

There are many reasons we love St. Luke's! The staff and principal work hard for our children and families, there is a strong community feel, and Catholic teachings are taught and practiced. We also love that there are smaller class sizes when compared to Beavercreek public schools, and severe discipline issues are not tolerated. Lastly, St. Luke's has standardized testing, but not high stakes standardized testing. My children do not have the stress and pressure that some other students in public schools go through.

Our experience has been a wonderful one. We love St. Luke School. Each child is known by name by all the staff and volunteers. There is a sense of community that we've not experienced anywhere else. The class size is small so everyone can receive the support needed to grow and we love the curriculum.

We love St. Luke School, where we currently have 2 children. Our children benefit from small classes, high academic standards, very dedicated and experienced teachers, culture of respect and care. School also has affordable after school program, chess club, scouts, sport teams through CYO.

Our child is challenged each day not only in academics but also in developing social and emotional skills!

We've had a great experience the 2 years we've been here. My child is academically challenged and the overall environment is top notch. We look forward to many more years here.

I have had children at St. Luke from kindergarten all the way through 8th grade. The school provides an excellent education. My children were able to easily enroll in honors classes in high school and were well prepared for them. For both of my children, their classes lacked the cliques that often dominate junior high.

our family didn't not have a good experience at this school. The students were constantly told how much they misbehaved and everything they did wrong. Rarely did my children have fun at school. We almost left in 5th grade when my child had an almost unbearably miserable year with the teacher. I cannot speak for everyone's experience, but i can say that i did not think this was the right school for my family, and the only thing that kept us here throughout the years were the students (who were wonderful kids who deserved more praise for their accomplishments) and the friendships that were built through the school years. i am relieved to have all my kids out of here and be able to have a fresh start at a new school.

The only thing good that I have to say about this school is my child learned about their faith. No praise for the teaching or should I say lack of teaching. I had concerns about my child's abilities that were not addressed and I feel probably were covered up until we told the school we were moving. I didn't realize how bad the situation was until this year and my child is attending public school (Springboro) in another county which I must say is far advanced when compared to the private education at St. Luke. We certainly didn't get what we paid for at St. Luke. Just be careful when choosing an education for your child--Private isn't always better!!!!

St. Luke is a great school! My two daughters are learning about their faith and receiving an excellent academic education. The teachers are all caring and go the extra mile for their students!

School doesn't address bullying; the parents are in cliques and appear to run the school. The academics are fine but there is not enough extra curricular activities.

Instructions to teachers by parent ignored. Bullying is not addressed. Some instructors favor certain students.
