I'm at teacher at Ehrhart and love it here. The leadership emphasizes caring for the students along with educating them. The classes are smaller than BISD schools so it helps me focus on students who need the additional assistance. I noticed that the Academics/Test Scores section was rated 4/10. It is based on old information (3-4 yrs old). Ehrhart averages higher scores than the schools in southeast Texas (Region 5)...as of the 2016-2017 school year.

I am in my seventh year of teaching at Ehrhart, and would not want to be anywhere else. We have a great new leadership team, an extremely supportive school board, and a dedicated teaching staff. Our small class size gives us the opportunity to focus on the needs of each and every student, giving them the best education possible.

I have worked at Ehrhart for 13 years and it gets better every year. The small class sizes are great. The new building is beautiful, and we are about to remodel the main building.

Ehrhart continues to improve both it's facility and it's curriculum. There is a great new building with a spacious and well equipped gym, wonderful library, and classrooms designed for learning. Even with the increased enrollment this year, class size has remained small. The new superintendent and principal have brought many new programs to expand academic and extracurricular learning. It is amazing to see the interaction between the teachers and students in this safe and caring environment.

Please be aware that whatever foolishness is going on at BISD currently is better than what this school has to offer. At this school not only will you receive an unfriendly self centered superintendent, no art classes, no music, no gym and a lot of people employed to be cooperative robots. My daughter has attended this school for 4 years and this past year I have gotten fed up. They too are all about " teaching the test" and no fundamentals which sets the kids up for failure. For the past two years my daughters summers are spent taking tutorials so that I can ensure that she learned something. I too was fooled by the small classes better learning but all that means to this school is lazier teachers and stagnant children. Every "certified teacher" there that tries to teach fundamentals get the ax. Everyone that I know that knows someone please advise them and learn from my mistake..please do not allow your child to be stereotyped for grant money..do not risk your child by letting them to attend this school.
