I love my daughter's teachers past and present. Miss former administrator team though. We knew exactly where and I loved their no nonsense attitude towards the students.

Teachers are bullies here and lack empathy for the children.

My grandson has been here for three years now. Math and reading are not on grade level. He's often left to be taught at home and constantly says that his teacher tells him to shut up. Looking at other alternatives.

My child has been going to this school since the 2021-2022 school year. I’m always getting complaints about the teachers treating kids unequally, trying to make friends with kids, grading on how they feel about a child, cursing kids out, and this school suspends kids for any and everything.

My daughters have been going here since they started going to school, and there have been a great change over the last two years. At first I was not sure when the new Principal came to the school but she asked me to give her a chance, and I'm very proud I did. With the great teachers, and the wonderful new principal I see great improvement at the school, not only with the kids, but the building itself. I hope the staff at Walter P. Carter continues to show great leadership for the students at the school. When a child follow great leader, they become great leader themselves. Keep up the great work Walter P. Carter. From a proud parent.

The last post is interesting...My son has been going to Walter P. Carter since kindergarten and is now about to enter the 8th grade. He has consistantly scored in the advanced levels of the MSA's and will most probably be going to either City or Poly after this last year of middle school. Maybe the fact that you have been to the school six times this year has a little to do with your child and not so much to do with the teaching.

This school is horrible...............Very much so out of control. Kids 15 in the 7th grade. I have been to this school 6 time this year alone because of the students and the teachers want to make friends with them and not teach them.
