I was very skeptical about the new administrators at first, but now I really see some change going on in the school. A lot of teachers left that didn't really care about the kids. And the climate is nice and calm as soon as you walk in the doors. Good job principal Cole and Spears!

Eutaw Marshburn Elementary School (EMES) is a phenomenal educational learning environment. From the time you grace the doors of School #011 you feel the warmth and love as if you've entered your own home. Ms. Cecelia Elliott, is our exceptional secretary who entreats you with such professionalism & love each and every day (no matter how busy her day may be). I feel a special day should be named in her honor because (she makes you feel as though you matter). When you are in the presence of such class and grace, how could you not entrust your child(dren) here at EMES. Our school is headed by Mr. Evon Hewitt, Jr., Principal & Mrs. Karen Walker, Asst., Principal who are two of the most dedicated, compassionate & selfless educators I've had the pleasure of working with since I started volunteering in the Baltimore City Public School System since 1989. They together foster a spirit of excellence, nurturing atmosphere and sense of pride to all here at Eutaw Marshburn Elementary School which in turn flows down to the staff, parent and community volunteers and visitors alike. JUST LIKE THEIR BEAUTIFUL HEARTS - THERE DOORS ARE ALWAYS OPEN! Many are called but few are chosen. God Bless!

My school has the the coolest kids on the block. They developed a rap to tell you why they love Eutaw Marshburn Elementary School 11. They are all Title one kids who true to the school motto are ALL SOARING EAGLES!!!!! AS parents and partners we are developing an after school program to help them soar even higher. Our challenge is to engage the whole community to help our kids soar. The AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WILL SEVE THE WHOLE COMMUNITY. TOGETHER WE'LL ALL SUCCEED,

Eutaw Marshburn Elementary school is an awesome school. In my opinion, it is one of the best school in Baltimore City, if not already. I think that this is the right elementary to choose if you are looking for great quality and high expectations. We're going higher! GO EUTAW MARSHBURN!!!!!!!

"EMES-11" was struggling for many years until several neighbors went over 6 years ago and got involved. Now there is a new Principal: Evon Hewitt and morale is back up and attendance and grades are going up. The school is slated for big improvements as a part of a HUD master plan redevelopment of the historic Eutaw Place corridor! Very exciting. Great Teachers! Great Kids!
